I picked the peerrrfect ring on MoissaniteCo.com, which I found when I knew a proposal was seriously possibly coming. After showing it to BF, I had it favorited on my compute (and his, of course) and every so often (like, every other day, haha) I would just click on it to admire it and daydream about it on my finger. It wasn’t what I’d ever imagined, just a unique little solitaire that I fell in love with.
Well, today I went to click on it and guess what? “This product was not found” came up on the site 🙁 I searched all around MoissaniteCo but I guess they JUST discontinued it or something.
Damn. I favorited a couple of more but I kinda had my heart set on that one. Although it might be exciting to get something unexpected (I trust his taste in jewelery), now it just feels like I’ve been waiting so long I can’t even get the ring I want anymore! 🙁

Maybe it’s not available anymore because he bought the last one in stock! 😉

I was thinking that too!! Let’s all keep our fingers crossed! How cool of an engagement story would that be though?

EXACTLY the same thing happened to me… I had been checking a ring I was convinced was the one for ages and then they discontinued it! I was so so so upset but in the end it’s worked out much better because I found one I loved even more… so you never know, it might have happened for a reason 😉

Aw, thanks for the kind thoughts everyone 🙂 I admit that at first, trying to be optimistic I thought maybe it was gone because he bought it… but, I’m not feeling too optimistic about that anymore. In reality, I just…don’t think he took the plunge yet. If V-Day comes and goes with no engagement or any indication that one is coming soon, it’s going to be really disheartening.
I kinda feel like all that was standing in the way of him getting a ring was clicking a few buttons online…everything else that I can tell seems to be in line already. I know that I don’t know what he has planned and he wants to surprise me, but it still just confuses me.

Just because it isn’t available on the website anymore doesn’t mean it isn’t available at all! I had a freak out in December when the setting I had been stalking was removed from BlueNile (2 weeks after my SO bought the stone because I insisted I had to have it). He contacted them and found out it could still be ordered from their supplier (as a custom order, so it would take 6-8 weeks and be non-refundable). Now I’ve decided against that setting, so I put my SO through the freak out for no reason ;). But it doesn’t hurt to send a quick email to see if MoissaniteCo could still get it, no need to be discouraged yet.

maybe he bought it, maybe he didn’t. i think it’s nice that people are trying to be really nice to you about it by saying “maybe he bought the last one” but if that didn’t happen, then they’re giving your hopes up. :(. maybe the ring is still available in the store, though, too, have you talked to your BF about this ring? maybe i just don’t understand the fasination with engagment rings. i don’t have one, i’m married, and i’m living just fine without one. but, maybe you can still find the ring in the store and see if they still carry it (it doesn’t hurt to call and ask), or maybe you’ll find a ring that you like better. anyway..i hope you get the proposal you want! Good luck!
