Weird! I don’t get heartburn from them… but I really don’t like them does that count? Every now and again I’ll buy some with the intent to actually eat them and enjoy it. Always end up throwing them away. Hah. You’d think I’d learn by now.

I don’t get heartburn from them, but they make my mouth tingle and itch.

Nope never had any issues with a banana but everytime I eat an apple, it makes me WAY hungrier than I was before.

I get heartburn!

I hate bananas – but – I can only eat them as soon as they turn yellow  .  I think they are sweetest when they get to that point, and firm.  if they have brown spots on them, forget it.  If I can smell them, for get it.  They are too mushy.  Bluck.

Now that you mention it I will have to pay attention. I’ve never really noticed this. And this may be TMI but everytime I eat a banana, it’s like a natural laxative! ::runs & hides::

I do! I thought I was the only crazy one out there! But I’ll still eat them, because I love bananas.

I’ve never had that problem.  I eat a banana most mornings for breakfast!

I used to love green bananas but they no longer love me… Definitely TMI, but apparently they’re used as a constipation aid, but uh, I have no problems with constipation, and apparently my stomach can no longer ignore the banana’s suggestions. When a green banana says “go,” everything goes into action…. :(((

No… weird! I do get hiccups every time I eat anything starchy and don’t drink water in between bites. Haha

I get heartburn when I eat pb&j. Not just peanut butter, not just jelly, but both, together.

But I love bananas and eat one every morning.

@HuskerGirl: hrm. That’s strange. I think bananas are a natural antacid.

Maybe your stomach is having problems digesting some of the starches in the banana? Have you tried letting them get a little riper?

If the problem persists then maybe it’s the sugars in the banana that are causing this, I would call your doctor just for a check up.

@HuskerGirl:  I used to love banana’s. love peanut butter and bananas the most. And then one day, a violent reaction. I was feeling fine til the banana. ANd I would have chalked it up as just a suddent illness except, I tried to eat a banana again and again and it left my stomach up in arms. Appearantly you can be allergic to bananas. Who knew. I still miss bananas. They were such a great, cheap snack.
