I’m kind of hating on life right now. Fiance is great, family is great, everything else sucks. I have 2 jobs, and I hate both of them. I dread going. I’m looking for something else, but, well, job hunting sucks. I had an interview, but it sucked. School sucks, I’m falling behind and I’m afraid I won’t catch up. My weight loss has stalled and I’m flat broke (partially because my jobs suck, partially becasue of student lonas, partialy because I’m a moron). I’m also sick, and PMSing. I used the last of my gas to drive to a babysitting job only to find out the family accidentally told me the wrong night, and I’d been counting on that $50 to fill my tank this morning. I’d give life about a 3 out of 10 right now, because I know it could be worse, but I’m pretty miserable. I know I need a change, especially in jobs, but it’s just so frustrating because I can’t control when and where I get hired. The eating/spending/schoolwork is all on me, but for jobs, all I can do is keep applying and try to hope.

@Laurenplusalex: sometimes, life just sucks balls. Everyone goes through ups and downs. It can’t be good all the time otherwise when life is great, we wouldn’t appreciate it as much. Accept that your in a hard place right now and decide on a few small steps you can take to get you in a better place. You can’t fix all your problems overnight sometimes, but gaining back a small amount of happiness can make you feel a bit better. Also get your SO to give you a big cuddle. Going for a brisk walk or doing something you like doing can help too.

@aribanana: thanks. I’m reaching out to old job contacts and applying my ass off, so hopefully that will get me somewhere. Until then, I just have to focus on getting by I guess

I have no words of wisdom, other than we’ve all been there. Sometimes, it just seems like its raining suckiness over every part of your life. This too shall pass.
I’d recommend a quiet night at home with Fiance, a bottle of wine, some scented candles, and absolutely ZERO talk of jobs, school, or bills. Concentrate for one night on the things that are right, and give yourself a little break 🙂

I hope things start looking up for you. I have those days too where everything just feels pointless, hopeless, stagnant, etc. I had one of those the other day & I was also PMSing, lol. Hang in there!
