Yay!!! I just booked our honeymoon! We are going to Costa Rica for 2 weeks in June. I thought it might be a bit early to book the flights but I found a great deal online. I was talking to a travel agent today and she said she couldn’t match that price and was shocked I was able to find such a great price (maybe i missed my calling life).
The hotels and stuff can come later – although I think we have settled on 5 days at an all inclusive resort near Taramindo, still have to decide which one, then 3 days in Arenal at the Nayara and then onwards to Uvita to stay at the Oxygen Villas (those last 2 hotels I am convinced look amazing based on other bee’s write ups)
Any other June brides book their honeymoon already?

well i just booked the flights using Kayak.com, we are flying to seattle first and staying a night there, then leaving the next day to CR to get a cheaper flight (pricer to fly direct from Vancouver) and we are flying into Liberia and out of San Jose, that way we can see more of the country and do less driving at the end of the trip to get back to the original airport we are flying into.
@bride2be – i read a lot of websites and forums about the rainy season stuff and apparently it only rains for an hour or two in the afternoon, it’s mostly sunny. Lots of hotels have off seasons rates so we can stay at more luxurious places and the pacific side is less rainy than the Caribbean side. I am a very A-type go go go person, so it will probably be a good thing if i am forced to relax for an hour or two while the rain passes 😉

Nice!!! I was in Costa Rica this past June and it was awesome!! You will love it. I was warned that it was rainy season as well, but honestly, out of the 10 days I was there, it only rained twice! On one day it was for about an hour or so and the other day it rained for about 10 minutes. Definitely not anywhere near the concern I had. I was able to go to two of the major areas in Costa Rica – Arenal (with incredible views of the volcano – normally it’s overcast so seeing it was a treat) and Monteverde. I went to to other areas to help with some missionary work, but they are not as well known. Overall, it was a great trip and such an incredible place for a honeymoon. Enjoy!!
