That's awesome! Seeing the recent Bee posts, I'm so jealous of the Cricuts :) You'll have to share some projects with us when you get going!
I want a Cricut so bad! Every time I go to Michael's I have to walk past them and drool a little bit... someday....
Oh my that is soooo awesome. I want one too...
You better post your projects...
That's a great idea to split the cost!
If you make any cool templates for your Cricut, please consider posting them to the DIY tab as a project or tutorial!
That's so great! I think that machine is awesome! I just can't justify spending so much on one right now since my wedding projects are all over. :(
Mrs. Ballet Flat, I couldn't even justify the cost of it for my wedding projects! The only sad apart about splitting it is that I live in NJ and she lives in MA - so it makes our shared custody a little harder :)
She just got it today, and is going to bring it home & start playing. Will definetly keep the Hive updated with our projects as they unfold!
I bought a Cricut after reading Miss Duckling's bee-rodcast a while back. I used mine to make favor tags for our wooden fans and also our seating assignment cards (which I plan to post about).
There's a software program called Sure Cuts A Lot which allows you to cut custom designs and True Type fonts using your Cricut without using a cartridge. Talk about expanding the possibilities! I thought of using it to cut out bunches of our silhouettes, but ended up modifying that project.
Have fun and definitely post photos! :o)

My best friend emailed me the day after Mrs. Penguin posted about her new Cricut with a link to the Cricut machines... she's a graphic artist, and hoping to do freelance invite and stationary design in the next year, and I offered to split the cust of a Cricut with her, if we could use it for all of my wedding stationary needs.
Amazon had a great price, and, along with the software, we're each shelling out $120! Totally worth it for custom invites! And now I don't need to hand cut 50 envelope liners! My fingers are already saying thank you.
She's creating a monogram for us that we're going to use on our invitations and echo throughout our stationary, and I'm totally excited! As we were previosly going to look into getting a custom die cut, this is MUCH more reasonable, and we can use it in the future.
Woohoo!
Is anyone else using a Cricut for their invites / programs / thank you cards?
