I’m petite….5ft. So, very hard to find a dress as they’re all huge. I found this dress….and i loved it in the pictures of another bride…I saw online. It was a tough decision…but, ended up going for it. I’m so nervous…..mainly worried it might be so different for older generation. Hopefully when it fits right….I will feel a lot better, I think it’s really pretty, i think it’s just so big on me….it’s hard to tell, since proportions are off. Any comments. Oh….nervous…… Enzoani blue-barcelona.

Did you ever try it on or try on a similar style?
I am 5 feet tall and tried on a few enzoani dresses and they were good quality, but I ended up going with a different designer.
The only thing I would be worried about is if the proportion is ‘off’ for your height. I ended up choosing a dress with a dropped waist to help show off my waist while not cutting off my legs too much (don’t want to look shorter than I already am), the designer is altering the pattern so it will fit my frame correctly. If you ordered that Enzoani dress without first trying it on or having it specially made, it’s possible the mermaid flare will start in an odd spot on your body because you are short.

@mcnetn3:Thanks…..Well, she said we would order it in a size zero, standard length. For alterations, she said the would do a hymm at waist to pull up some of the drop waist….and take same proportion off bottom to make it right proportions for me. So , I’m trusting her. …..Think they should be able to get proportions pretty close from what she said. crossing my fingers…..Thanks for your response. !

Oh it’s so nice to find someone else I feel like I can relate to. I am going with a dress that is a little different from the norm (Watters Torreon) and it has made me worry a bit too.
But I don’t think you should worry. You look beautiful in your dress.

It looks beautiful on you!

The dress I almost bought, the designer didn’t do hem-hollow adjustments, and when i spoke with the alterations manager, because the dress had an empire waist seam, she said they would be able to do a hymn from the waist the same way you are talking about. It would have brought the dropped waist up to fit my frame and then we would have taken any left over length off the bottom if necessary.
Good Luck! Sounds like you’ve got it all covered.

@menobride:Thanks girl!!, I feel like I’m being a little risky with this style…. 🙂
Below is the link where i fell for the dress….I just hope it has the same effect on me…..when it fits right. The dress i have on in the store is a size 10, I need a zero, so obviously , it’s a quite a bit more material than necessary! Thanks for your response.
