isnt that the best feeling? i've lived on my own since i graduated highscool so i know all about living paycheck to paycheck. DH luckily makes more than double my salary so saving as a couple shouldnt be so hard - but we are just starting out :)
i was lucky enough to have my parents pay for my wedding as well but of course i had expenses of my own so i started saving - when i hit the 1000 dollar mark i was so happy! i had never saved that much in my life. i let it sit there for few months adding to it here and there but the month before the wedding i had to part with it..it was very very VERY sad to see it go.

... and I've managed to save up over $1000 so far. I know that doesn't sound too impressive, but we live paycheck to paycheck. Our 3 pairs of wonderful parents are paying for the whole wedding, including our transportation, but there are incidentals that I'll have to pay - mostly gifts and things like that. Anyway, this feels like a huge accomplishment! I just had to share!
