Weddingbee boards

Hey everybody! My name is Lacey and I just got engaged to the perfect man for me. His name is Tyler and he proposed to me in Jackson Square in New Orleans over looking the cathedral. <3 We have been together for just over a year and love each other very much. He is in the National Guard and is leaving in January to train for Iraq around March. While he away I will be planning my wedding with my new step mom to be, and she is so awesome. Tyler's father, her husband, will also be going to Iraq with my fiance. So when Tyler and his dad ge back in January of 2011 we will be married the end of April. 

So I am getting started planning everything because its going to be a very large event with about 150 people coming. I am trying to have it at a plantation house but so far I just don't know. We are looking at other historic places in Louisiana and Natchez. I am just getting started but so far I am having so much fun. I also go to college full time so I'm really going to have my hands full planning the wedding but it will be fabulous! Its going to be a classy wedding, very formal. My colors are deep purple and dark silver. I'm looking forward to chatting with other brides planning their wedding!

Ok. Heres the pic of the engagement ring. Its white gold a fourth of a carat. I LOVE it. Its perfect! He actually listened when I said I didnt want something huge. I'm a klutz and I would be constantly banging it into stuff :P
