I decided before the wedding, that I wanted to design my own wedding album, and the albums we will give our parents. I have worked on them for a few hours per day, from sunday until tonight. I am just tweaking them a touch tonight, to get them ready to be printed tomorrow.

I am using Photobooks Canada, which seems to have good reviews, and average prices. I can't wait to see how they turn out (I will review them once they are all done and printed!)

Now to choose the 5 photos we will be printing to put up in our bedroom! I love getting these post-wedding projects checked off of the list!

Good job!!! You can give yourself a big pat on the back. I'm still working on mine, and a newlywed argument with hubby this week took away my motivation and a lot of my time so now I'm behind my target deadline :( Hard to get excited over lovey dovey photos when you're mad at someone.

How many photos did you choose for your album?

@meliss: I chose 237 photos for the album initially, but ended up cutting it down, so there are roughly 220 photos in the albums. Ours is 11x11, and 92 pages with a few full-page spreads. The parent albums are 8x8, with 65 pages.

@caszos: I was too ... but the software Photobook Canada uses for the albums is awesome to use, super user friendly, so you just need to use your imagination. It wasn't as bad as I thought!

@Ms Mini: Kudos to you, that is a quite the undertaking. I should've checked that website. I started out with 300 photos and I'm trying to fit them all into 76 12x12 pages because that's the maximum on Adoramapix. So hard to decide when to cram 8 photos into one page and when to splurge on the full spread...Then there's the careful balancing of horizontal and vertical photos so no space is wasted on a square page...I'm sure you know my pain :)

I don't have the patience to do a separate parents' album so I decided to give MIL a copy of ours for Christmas. Unfortunately it was only after I made this decision that I realized most of the full blown pictures are of me (I can't help the vanity, I love my bride-self!) and MIL has been banished to small corners on many of the pages. So now I gotta do an edit on that :(

I'm working on my boudoir album for my husband for christmas using photobookusa.com! There was a groupon today for $115 worth of photo albums for $35! So I got a few and plan to make the parents' albums for christmas too!

I have been working on editing and touching up our photos every single day as well as organizing them - I dont know how long it will take me to do an album but I dont think Ill be finished in only 3 months time! :-)

@7SEVENJ9: I am super-hella-jealous of your groupon, since I am facing down like $400 worth of albums ...

I did a photo book of our photos with blurb, and they arrived yesterday - I admit I was encouraged to hit a deadline because I had a coupon for free premium paper!

we want to give them to our parents as part of their christmas presents, but they will have to be early presents!

I printed 3 copies of the same book, but then realised that I didn't include any of the photobooth photos as I've done a separate book of those for us. ah well.

    it's 11 by 13, and about 120 pages I think.

it was hard to pick photos for the book (which is why it's quite big!) and I also edited some extra pics that my photographer hadn't, but had given us on our photo DVDs (I use photoshop for work, so it wasn't too hard)

It feels great to have done them - just one for our honeymoon to go, although I'd also like to do a book of the photos other people took at our wedding, and ones from the friday night dinner and sunday BBQ. that can wait a bit tho!
