I spent my Saturday night at home watching Disney movies! What's your favorite?

I like a lot of them, but I think my favorite is Beauty and the Beast!

Lion King. I can't even count the number of times I've seen that movie. At one point I could recite the whole movie from memory, lol.

I voted for sleeping beauty.  According to my parents, when I was little, I used to watch the dragon part over and over and over and over again.  Just that part.  I dont know I was a weird kid I guess.

@RecessionistaBride, I hadn't even thought of non-animated Disney movies! Pirates of the Caribbean is good!

i love the older disney classics - just dont get the same emotional attachment with the new ones (in the past decade).  I think they recently came out w/ the frog and the princess, and something else before that, i have no desire to watch those =(

i wanted a disneyland wedding (i grew up watching ppl getting married at Disneyland since i grew up around there) but their wedding packages are pretty expensive-- for a "basic" wedding, it'll cost almost $200/guest!    there goes my dream wedding!

Hands down, The Little Mermaid. Prince Eric and those eyes! Haha.

I used to play mermaids in our pool with my sisters. Life was easier back then!

@angeleri - Haha. Seriously! Funny fact... my sister's name is Ariel and her bf's name is Eric. I'm pretty jealous...

ENCHANTED! I freakin' love it... it's the best of both worlds. Cartoon + pretty real life princess!

I just watched it last night with my nephew. He's 3 & slept over at my house last night. I didn't have any other kid friendly movies & the only cartoons I have on DVD are Family Guy & The Simpsons! Once we started watching it he goes "Heeeeeeyyyy is this like Snow White or somethin'..."

@msashley: My cousins and I used to play "Baywatch" in our pool... that's when we thought the show was actually about saving people & being a lifeguard. :) lol

@Angeleri - I know! She used to hate her name but now I think she embraces it. I would love to talk them into an ocean wedding, though I might bust out in some type of Little Mermaid song!

@ReconssionistaBride - Hilarious. I loved when I was naive! I remember watching Pretty Woman when I was younger (seriously, who let me watch that? haha) and was clueless on the entire prostitute part. Also... LOVE Enchanted!

@msashley: Seriously... I wonder the same thing. Who the heck watched me as a kid? Parents had it SO easy back then compared to now! They could let us do whatever & no one would judge them!

In grade 4 I was watching Baywatch & Roseanne. My favorite movie was Footloose & Dirty Dancing! At one point I cut my own hair & I had a mullet for the rest of the school year. In the 80's my mom walked me around on a leash!! ((Don't act shocked girls... if you're an 80's kid your mom walked you around the mall in a harness w/ a strap.))

Now a days kids are so much better off! Now parents hold their children's hands instead. lol

@recessionista: I was a leash child (except it was a wrist strap instead of a harness type thing). I wasn't bad, but I tended to wander a lot and I was always really small for my age so I easily got lost in crowds.

I know some people are against the leashes, but some children need them! Honestly it is so annoying when kids are running around and their parents are oblivious to what is going on, haha.

is Monsters, Inc. a disney movie? Because I could watch that once a week and not get tired of it! I assume it is, since they have a ride at DCA.

I love Disney!  Funny story, I know this guy that went into Blockbuster and asked if they carried Bedknobs and Broomsticks.  The teen behind the counter lowered her voice and was like "Sir, we don't carry adult movies at Blockbuster".  HA!
