Yall are going to think I'm crazy. But I haven't gotten a real manicure from the salon in over a year. I try to do them myself...usually do a good job. I have sooo many colors it's awesome. But with reg nail polish, yall know it only lasts maybe 1-3days. Especially if you are having to type a lot...God forbid I have to wash my hands more than usual...bye bye pretty nails!
Anyway..I'm going on my last two weeks at my job and for SOME reason I am feeling extra rebellious...so what do I do?? I painted my nails all a different color lmao. Am I 14 years old, you ask?? No..definitely not. BUT I just felt it was appropriate and I mean it's a little bit fun hahaha. I usually have a mauve, grey, navy, black, merlot on my nails. Nude. Boring colors but still cute. ANYWAY....post your mani's let me see what colors yall are workin with ;) haha
I need to clean up the edges, but whatever. I like the first pic but I wanted you to see my pink thumb. LOL

I'll play! I just painted my nails last night. I did have them a crazy green/teal color but I painted them a soft pink. It's Shell We Dance? by Sally Hansen with Play Fair by Nicole by OPI on top. They're my two favorite nail polishes so I decided to wear them together!
I don't have a picture but I painted mine red 2 days ago and most of the polish has chipped off already. Boooo.
I'm obsessed with nail polish :P These pictures are all pre-clean up. So no judging the messiness of some.
My current manicure is one I did for my birthday the other day..I think it screams 'birthday'..

@CarolinaCola: yes! thank you :) ....let me tell you though: I used to be known for biting my nails down to nothing. My friends hated it, my cousins begged me to stop. So one day I was like...yea I want long nails and forced myself to break the habit!
I'm a nail polish hoarder and I'm a HUGE fan of nail art. For some reason I can't find all of my nail art pictures though. :(
Right now my current color is somewhat boring, it's a slate grey with shimmer (from Gap, hellow xmas!) with Rock & Republic matte polish over it.
These are a few that I've done in the past, they look messy because I had just finished and was too excited to NOT take a photo. I usually let myself be as messy as I wanna and once the polish dries I soak my hands in warm water and take off whatever is on my skin, it's a lot less stressful to me than to have to be careful...
(this is pre-engagement, that's my promise ring not the engagement ring) - For my other had I did the leopard print on my pointer finger.
On my other hand the zebra print was on my thumb.
I've also done the news paper nails, gradient nails and usually keep my toenails painted like strawberries. Yes, I'm weird, I know. If I'm feeling lazy I'll do clear nails with glitter just on the tips or up near the top (sort of like the 'moon' thing). I also like to do alternating colors with several at a time or do 4 fingers on one hand 1 color, and then reverse it for the other. Or, I'll do all yellow, one blue on one had and then all blue, one yellow on the other and then paint on tips in the other color (blue nails have yellow tips etc.)
My nails are naked! *GASP* For the first time in ages. They were growing out so long and beautiful without splitting that I couldn't bear to cover them up with polish this past month. Then I broke three of them on the same day. 
So now they're short and sad and still awaiting polish.
@linguo42: my nails are nakey right now too. i'm a newly reformed non-nail biter (6 months sober) so I go between painting them every two or three days and leaving them unpainted with just clear coating so i can enjoy my accomplishment. i just got a mani last friday and it was destroyed by the end of the weekend. they even had to trim them!! here's my nakey's (with clear coating) the ring is a stackable from Lia Sophia. it's my favorite. if i could get a wedding set modeled after it with the three different metals, i sooo would. but for now - still waiting on that proposal. i actually got myself to quit by envisioning having beautiful nails for when he does propose instead of my former haggard ones. i think my next mani i will go with a jade green or something.

Yayyyyy!! I LOVE IT :D I am so obsessed with nail polish. Everytime I go to the grocery store I pick up a new color. I'm already over the rainbow nails ahhaha. Time to paint them a new color tonight maybe.

I have Essie Muchi Muchi on right now (: It's my favourite polish ever!! I also put Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Strobe Light on my ring finger to compliment my new ring ;)

It's basically a base coat, three descending strokes, and then three more on top of that. I must really like them, because I haven't redone my nails for like a week lol!

@MissBoPeep: Oh poop! You won't regret buying this polish! Out of my 170+ bottles, this is one of my faves! Maybe you can take a look at some salons/beauty stores around you? They might still carry some or know where they can order one.
@KeeKalena: I'm sure I wouldn't! I looove super sparkley polishes! Maybe I'll stop on my way home and see if the beauty store near me has it, it's dangerous when I go in there lol I always walk out like $100 poorer.
Woa, you guys are good! I thought it was impressive that i could do my nails in a moving car, but I definitely can't do crazy designs like all of you!! Sometimes I mix it up with a tiny heart on my ring finger or newspaper nails, but that's about as creative as I get.
@AnneTossy: What's the name of that last color you posted?? It's gorgeous!!
My nails are currently a boring monotone- Eiffel for This Color (OPI), it's hard to tell but it's really a very dark purple, it's one of my favorite winter colors;
@MissBoPeep: LOL! I've had to put a hold on my nail polish buying too! It was getting ridiculous!

@Aure: Does the crackle polish make your nails bumpy or is it smooth like normal polish? I like the way it looks but I feel like I would just end up peeling it off if it wasn't smooth.
@littlegraykitten: The brand is Models Own and the color is Pinky Brown (even though the color is more of a purple brown) :)

@MissBoPeep: It's bumpy but once you put a coat or two of clear polish on it they smooth out pretty well. It's actually stayed on longer than some of my regular polishes.

Man, I need to get them filled soon, haha. (I have gel overlays, my natural nails are uselessly thin and brittle.) This pic makes them look way more red than they are...they're actually this color:
