Last night there was a thread about having to drink milk before bed and other habits we do before we go to bed. Anyway, it got me thinking about milk!
I LOVE milk, and I drink several glasses a day. I usually buy 1%, but when my husband buys it for me, he buys 2%. I don’t correct him because I love 2% and whole, but I can’t bring myself to purchase all the extra calories.
The interesting thing is that most people prefer the milk they were raised on. I was raised on non-fat, but I absolutely cannot drink it- it tastes like water to me.
So… what’s your milk preference?

I prefer fat free, but my husband wants the 1% stuff.

Oh & @December…I know what you mean about not being able to drink non-fat, that’s what my dad had in the house at ALL times but I def. don’t like it!

I used to always drink skim milk because it is healthiest. Until I got a roommate whose dad worked at a milk processing factory and told me they put radioactive isotopes in the milk to keep it stable because it doesn’t have any fat in it (whether or not this is true… it freaks me out). I like 1% better so I started buying that. Tastes better, not THAT many extra calories, and I don’t have to worry about radioactive anything heh.

Ugh, gross – I don’t drink milk! When I was kid, I called it cow pus. Blech!

@eriqua: I added an “other” for you! 🙂

I haven’t drank (drunk? drinken? drunken?) milk in years. Way back in the day I was a 1/2% or skim; anything thicker than that I could never really stomach.
I know a lot of people who drink soy though, even though they’re not lactose intolerant. Maybe you could add a soy option?

1% Organic for me. Whole Organic for FI. So much of our fridge space is taken up by milk and half/half. Love the organic milk – IMHO it tastes better/creamier & it lasts SO much longer.

@miss meepsie: I also buy organic- it tastes a lot better!

I don’t drink milk by the glass, but I use it a lot to make pudding, or to put in my cereal. It has to be skim milk…I can’t handle anything else!

I don’t drink milk by itself but when I use it (cereal etc) I use whole milk. I was raised on it and haven’t changed
