It feels like iPhones are taking over the world, though I am a proud owner of one! =)
What kind of phone do you have?
Feel free to comment to have me add a type if you think it deserves it's own subtype =)
Warning: May not be able to stay awake for 40 minutes...hope I got all the main phones haha
Up until about a month ago, I was rocking an LG Envi. Then I finally upgraded to an iPhone, and it's like, ohmyword, where have you been all my life?! When the guy went to import my contacts, it took him about 10 minutes just to scroll through all the cell phone choices to find my model - it was THAT old. I ran that thing into the GROUND.
I have a LG Rumor 2, I want an iphone but data costs are so expensive!
@parasol: Omgosh you helped me sooo much on my old account. Just wanted to say thank you for being an amazing bee. Had to go anon for personal reasons =)
Welcome to the dark side... you will never want to let go of your iPhone!! hahaha. Okay, I did leave mine in Lowe's today, but it was still there when I went back an hour later haha. I will never let go of it...again.
@accorn: Ahh yes, that is a difficult jump for many. I worked in a technology store and paid for my own cell phone since 16 (and wanted the latest and greatest...priorities at 16, right?), so I have been paying out the wazooooo for as long as I can remember. The iPhone plan we have now is the cheapest I've ever spent hahahaha.
I finally became a proud owner of an iPhone! :) got it back in February and I love it!
I have a Samsung Alias 2... anybody remember those? It's about 4 years old. I dropped my first one about 3 trillion times and finally it broke... when I went to get a new phone I told the guy I just wanted a sturdy flip phone that was good for texting... He told me that they didn't make phones like that anymore and that the only people who bought flip phones were old people and children. I said "huh." Walked out the door, and bought another Alias 2 on Amazon. TAKE THAT VERIZON!
I also have a first gen IPhone. I'm pretty sure it's the last remaining model.
I'd love to get a fancy phone, but I just cannot justify spending 100 a month for ANOTHER device to access the internet! I have like 20 of them already!
I have a Droid and I love it. I need a keyboard, I can't handle a touchscreen keyboard, they drive me nuts.
@AllShookUp: Lmao, I laughed at that out loud "Take that Verizon!" I can't believe he said that to you. How dreadful!!!! lol.
@redhead46: Yeeeeahhh that is one thing I liked and miss about my old phones, though I got used to the touch screen quickly. I suppose you have to when you demo them. haha. Do you get your nails done? I noticed thats a common complaint for people that get their nails done.
@ChuckNorris: I'm not sure--its my first smartphone, not sure what to compare it to! I love the screen and it was very easy to learn to use. I hate having to update it all the time. I cracked the glass at month 5 though, so I'm not sure if its slowly dying (I'm rough on my phones. I loved my env simply because I dropped it constantly and it was fine)
@ChuckNorris: I don't get my nails done but it's more like the tactile feel of the keyboard. And just in general I think my phone is easier to navigate than an iPhone.
@redhead46: Ahh, I see. That makes sense!!!! We are a Mac house and have everything configured to the Apple user interface, but I can see what you mean because I had an Android before this one and I truly did love it. It's just easier for us now that everything is the same. I vote for an iPhone keyboard cuz I really do miss that!! lol ;) Happy droiding!
@Roe: Oh no!!!! Thats terrible! Yeah, I have always been pretty rough on my phones. Did I mention I left my phone at Lowe's today? Hahahah
@ChuckNorris: yeah it was pretty terrible... I pretty much looked at him and said "well, I'm not old, and I'm not a child, and I want a flip phone." And he had no options to show me. I felt a little insulted. Those smart phones are awesome, anyone will admit that, but is it so hard to believe that there are still people out there who just want a basic phone that fits their needs and will also withstand repeated 9 foot drops onto solid concrete? (I'm more than impressed with my Alias 2's ability to withstand falls lol)
Not sure what kind of phone I have, but I call it a "Stupid phone" because it is NOT a "Smart phone." It's a flip phone that gets phone calls, takes photos, and texts when I need it to. :-) I'm not old, I just act like I am.
Remember when phones used to come with free games on them? My first phone had a game... i think it was just called "snake" or something... it was really simple but so nice to have when you were waiting in line and bored... now they expect you to pay for everything. grumble.
Palm Pre. Hell yeah. I love this phone, but the app support sucks/is practically non-existant.
I also have an LG Ally, which sometimes I'll switch over to if I *really* want a certain app. It was my original and the pre is my DH's old one. I just love the web OS and it's a shame that it's not supported anymore.
I have a purple LG Rumor Touch. It's a 'semi-smart phone'. As in, it has internet, app, and email capabilities- but they're pretty much useless! -_- I've had this phone for a little over a year now, and I HATE it! =p
I've been an avid iPhone user since the launch of the first gen and have upgraded to every new one since. In my opinion, they're the best phones on the market. I could never go back to using anything else.
I have an Iphone 3GS. I bought it second hand because I couldn't stand my Blackberry anymore. I had nothing but problems with ALL the Blackberry phones I've ever had. They're garbage phones :(
I have an LG Optimus S. I love it because it's smaller than a lot of androids and my hands are small, so it fits me very well. And it's dark purple, which I also love. It's been a great phone. Sprint, meh, but they have the best signal towers where I live.
I have an LG phone, don't know whcih kind but I can text with a keyboard. The phone slides up and reveals the keyboard.
Kind of cool to use the texting, but I prefer to talk face to face.
Yep, iPhone. It's lasted for 3+ years so I'm definitely sold... but I also think I'm going to upgrade when the iPhone 5 comes out this fall.
I have an LG Ally, and I really like it. I don't get the iPhone hype- everyone I know has one with a cracked screen :P
Mine has touchscreen & a keyboard, which I need because i'm probably the only young person who hhaaates touch screen anything. I surprised myself by getting a phone with a touchscreen in the first place haha
I have a Pantech Impact. Awesome for texting and it does everything I need it to.
I really have no desire for an expensive data plan phone.
I was a strict blackberry user for years. I stuck with it because it was the phone that my job promoted. We had the option of a discount if we used a blackberry device. They would pay a portion of your bill if you used a blackberry just because they wanted the mobile communication between employees to be more compatible. I looooved my blackberry phone then. And up until the storm I was satisfied. Then android phones took over for a while and I had a couple of those. I just upgraded to an iphone 4s back in november of 2011 and now I cannot see myself using any other kind of phone. Granted I said that about blackberries and android phones too lol. But there doesnt seem to be anything better on the market right now and I have no desire to have any other phone. When I had a blackberry or android I was always looking for the next best thing even if I was happy with my phone. I havent done that since having an iphone. I will probably upgrade to the 5 when that comes out.
I have a Sony Erricson Xperia phone and I'm upgrading it to the new Xperia S this week. I love this phone, it's an Android phone and it rocks.
iPhone 4s in black :) I love it and will probably be an iPhone girl forever.
I have an HTC Thunderbolt (the first Verizon 4G phone!). It's fine. I'll probably switch to an iPhone when the new one comes out later this year. I've had an HTC Android phone for a couple of years and I'm ready for something different!
I have an iPhone but I so want to go back to a Droid! I've broken 3 screens-- all from little drops off the couch or something. I'm too clumsy for an iPhone.
Plus I miss the navigation system and all the apps on the Droid-- the Apple App Store can't compare.
(I'm a die-hard Macintosh person, but I am just so sick of this phone.)
I have a Droid and love it. I will never own an iphone, hell, I plan to never own an Apple product ever!!
iPhone -- I have a hard time believing I'd ever get a different type of phone after having an iPhone.
