FI gets home from work around 5:30, we usually eat a little after 7.

We go to the gym right after work, so we end up eating anywhere between 6:30 – 7:30.

I workout when I get home (around 5pm) and then have to shower so we normally end up eating between 6:30 and 7:30

Our current routine since I work part time from home is He lets me know about when he thinks he will be home. I ask him if he plans to shower first before dinner or not and then I plan around that.

Most typically he is home at 630, we eat about 645.

Before we moved and when we both worked full time out of the home I would prep dinner as best as I could on the weekends or in the AM so it wasnt a lot of work when I got home. We would get home about 6/6:30 and we would eat about 700.

I usually don’t get home from the gym until around 7. If FI is home earlier he’ll start cooking, if not, I get right to cooking so it’s done around 7:30.

DH NEEDS dinner by 6, or he gets cranky. But in my family, we always have late dinner– between 7 and 9pm.

So when DH travels for business I eat at 9, but we usually eat at 5:30.

It depends – if I’m trying out a new, elaborate recipe and have a glass of wine or two while I’m cooking, it takes longer.  🙂  In that scenario it could be around 9:30-10pm.

But usually we’re eating dinner by 8:30-9pm.  We get home around 6pm-ish (or even later if we go to the gym), have drinks, goof around a little or walk around our yard and garden to unwind.  I start cooking at 7-7:30 and try to have it on the table in an hour or so.

Usually around 6. I like to get it over with and relax for the rest of the evening.

it varies every day.  we are both retired so we eat when we are hungry.  sometimes we have a large lunch around 2 and then skip dinner or just have a snack later.

in the yucatan, lunch is the big meal of the day so i think we are adapting to their ways.  restaurants are typically empty at the usual 5 or 6 pm.  some don’t even open until 7.30 or 8.00 pm.

It depends. If we’re both home, I like to eat b/t 5-6, so that we still have time to ‘hang out’ or go somewhere after dinner, but a lot of nights, it’s after 6 or even 7 before we get anything on the table. If I work til 5:30, then have to pick up my daughter and stop at the store, it’s annoying to have to come right in and cook…usually those nights, we’ll hit the drive-thru or throw some wings in the fryer.

We go to the gym after work most days, so don’t get home until at least 7:30, if not closer to 8.  We usually eat around 8/8:30.

Right about 5ish, 5:30 or so. I go to bed around 9, so I need an early dinner.
