What trip would be your dream in each category? For us it’s:
Budget: The beach 30 mintues away
Middle of the road: Florida (FH) or Guatemala (me, flights are high but ground costs are low)
Luxury: Greece (me) or Japan (FH)

Budget: I consider any weekend/3 day weeknd trip a budget trip so it could be a road trip to Austin or a quick plane ride to NOLA or NYC.
Middle of the Road: Western Europe
Luxury: African Safari or beach destinations that are further east like Maldives, Bali, or Bora Bora.

This is fun! I’ll try:
Budget: Somewhere in the NC mountains, possibly Asheville or Boone/Blowing Rock. It’s a 4 hour drive for us, very easy to get to, and relatively cheap.
Middle of the Road: Probably our actual honeymoon. We’re doing the grand canyon and surrounding areas (not fully decided on that yet). It’s somewhere we have always wanted to go and the prices for flights and hotels aren’t crazy.
Luxury: Multiple weeks in Europe, particularly Spain, Italy, and France.

Budget: Weekend ski trip to VT or to visit college friends in DC
Middle of the Road: NOLA or San Francisco (flights cost $, but we have friends/family members who live there, so lodging is free)
Luxury: Any trip overseas, really. Ideally, a Mediterranean cruise amongst the Greek islands and Turkey (what we’ll hopefully be doing for our honeymoon)

Budget: Road trip to Moab or Yellowstone, or a ski hut trip.
Middle: SE Asia! Thailand, Vietnam, Bali. (This can be pretty cheap – I spent a month in Thailand and Laos and spent $2,500-3,000 including airfare. We’re planning this trip in a year or two as a belated honeymoon.)
Luxury: Eco-friendly safari / wildlife tour / trekking trip in Africa. *drool* Or an extended trip through SE Asia PLUS Australia and New Zealand.

For our budget vacations we go to Cuba (about $1000-$1200 per person taxes included, all inclusive).
Middle of the road, I’d go somewhere in Europe for about a week to 10 days ($7000-$10,000 for both of us) this is what we did for our honeymoon.
Expensive, can’t afford it yet vacation – There’s this cruise line that sails in the Meddeterainian (can’t remember the name of the ship, it’s like Seven Voyageur or something) and it goes from Rome to London and I think it’s anywhere from $12,000-$20,000 PER PERSON.
While I love to travel, and will probably take several vacations like thst in my lifetime, those aren’t the kinds of trips we can take right now.

Hmm lets see.
Budget – A music festival across the country. Bonnaroo, Lolla, something like that.
Mid range – New York City or a 7 day cruise. I’d really LOVE to do a European cruise.
Expensive – Train/plane hopping around Europe.
