I'm cleaning today...so I was just wondering about you other bees, and what does it take for your house to feel clean?

clear off all the counters - mail, stuff, everything piles up in one place.  Once everything is in the dishwasher, filing cabinet, or trash can, the world's a happier place.

Sweep. I have dogs and wood floors which equals massive amounts of hair. I sweep twice a day. If the entire house was disgusting, I could live as long as the floors were hair-free!

Yep, same here with the kitties and the hair. That's why I have to vaccum at LEAST every 3 days. Minimum. And I'm CONSTANTLY lint-rolling things..

Clean the kitchen and sweep the floors!  @Bella, I am in the same boat as you!  Dog + hardwood floor = nightmare.

I have to have the bed made, dishes in the dishwasher, and the blankets and the pillows on the couches organized.

FI is in charge of dishes,  so even if I clean the entire apt, if those aren't done, it doesn't feel right! lol.

Scoop the litterboxes and declutter. Whenever I do a really thorough house cleaning (which, sadly, usually only happens if we're expecting guests), the litterboxes are always the last things I do. And even though the clutter drives me crazy, I hate taking care of it, so if I'm going that far, it means the rest of the house is *spotless*.

I'm not happy until the kitchen is spotless and everything is in its place.

It's a tie between vaccum and having a shiny bathroom :)

Just kidding - for me it would have to be, having everything in its place, vaccum and spotless washrooms!

If my kitchen is clean Im a lot more at peace! But in order for me to feel like its complete I have to do the entire house!!! At least if all surfaces are clear I dont feel so bad

laundry! Laundry is seriously the root of all evils in my house. It piles up and piles up and piles up and it makes me less motivated to do anything else. Then there is so much piled up that even if I clean everything else I never REALLY catch up on laundry. So... in order for things to be **really** clean... all laundry must be washed, dried, and hung with care :)

All the counters are cleaned off. When they are cluttered, I cannot just leave them. FI is known for leaving things just sitting there for when he needs them later and of course I go behind him picking them up- he swears its his organized mess!

The kitchen has to be entirely clean or else I'm not happy! It's something I clean pretty much daily...the rest of the house can be messy, but as long as the kitchen is clean I feel alright.

The vacuum makes all the difference in our living room.  Even if I pick up the piles of crap, run the vacuum, and put them back, it seems positively clean.  In other rooms its different things, and I don't remember the last time that ALL of the rooms seemed sparkly.

vacuum, sweep, do laundry and put it away, have the entire bathroom cleaned, and have everything off the couches/counters/table.  Right now none of these things are done and it's a mess.
