When I first met my fiance I thought he/she was….
My answer is just another drunk at the bar but he turned out to be the best guy I could ever ask for…you really can meet a decent guy at a bar!

A nice looking regular guy that I would probably never see again.

When I first met my husband I thought he was…
A cute frat boy who’d probably do a good job at holding my champagne bottle for me.

adorable and I knew immediately he was the one!

Really, really shy. Turns out it was just because he had a huge crush on me.

When I first met my FI my heart almost stopped. I just knew there was something so special about him and that we were going to be great together. There was (is) a chemical, magnetic attraction between us. And my first deep, gut instinct about him has proven to be exactly right and true. He is just as amazing as I knew he was from that first moment. I will never forget it.

I was actually waiting for another guy to come pick me up from a party, and when I met my husband he was walking back from the hot tub w/ no shirt & a towel. I couldn’t find my shoes, so he helped and then wouldn’t leave my side & I was annoyed. So in my drunken college mind, decided that if I make out with him he will leave me alone?? lol!

When I first met my fiance I thought he was…
Extremely attractive, but arrogant, and probably would end up just being a summer fling haha

….not my type.
And I mean that in a good way because he is/was SUCH a great/nice guy. I was getting out of an engagement with a really bad guy and so the difference was overwhelming.
Thankfully good/nice guys ARE my type. 🙂

When I first met my DH, I met him at the Arcade, where my friends and I played Dance Dance Revolution at least twice a week lol. I thought he seemed nice, but I didn’t even talk to him beyond “Hi, nice to meet you” and I had a new boyfriend at the time so I didn’t look at him “that way” at all.
The next time I saw him was at a DDR tournament where I won 2nd place! It was kind of crappy because all of my other “friends” didn’t even congratulate me, but my current boyfriend and my DH were both there to cheer me on the whole tournament! At that point I thought he was pretty awesome. 🙂
… yes we are huge geeks lol.

@Sunfire: I had that moment too. It just happened the following day (when we were both sober).
I had never felt anything like that before. I looked in his eyes and I just *knew*.
8 years later I *still* get that butterfly feeling in the pit of my stomach when I look him directly in the eye or wake up next to him while he’s still sleeping or when he rolls over and hugs me in the middle of the night.
