@octohands:  just on a side note – you can stick the water damaged iPhone into a bag of dry/uncooked rice to dry it out.

Ive done this twice and it works like a charm

htc wildfire [which is a driod].

I got it simply because I love the cases I can get for it, and it’s white. I had an iphone and didn’t care for it or the pricetag.

    I have an iPhone 4!

But I also have a Samsung Galaxy Note tablet and I love it. But I don’t think I’d want an Android phone. The thing is practically a computer, so I like that it’s a decent size. My iPhone does what I want it to.

Droid Bionic. Ive had many iphone users pick up my phone and tell me how much they can do with it. You know, how customizable it is.

I am a big Droid fan. I have a galaxy tab which I am using now and I cant get over how easy it is to do stuff with.

For iPhones check lifeproof cases they make them waterproof πŸ™‚ Right now I have an iPhone 4 (my philosophy is if it isn’t broken don’t mess with it) but when this one dies I might go for a galaxy,

    I’ve never used a Droid.

I have an iPhone 4s.  As far as smart phones go, the iphone is a good fit for me (and hubby.)  We’re Apple people, so it’s nice that I can buy an app and easily send it to my iPod, iPhone, and iPad.  I also like that my playlists can be uploaded easily from iTunes without issue.

Back in the day…I used to roll with the Nokia phones.  LOVED them.  I think I had just about every model of Nokia that VoiceStream put out….then T-Mobile gobbled up Voice Stream, then I decided to get on the iPhone bandwagon so now I’m on Verizon.

I will say the call clarity was so much better on analog phones.  Of course, I’m deaf, so I have some audio issues with phones anyway.  i don’t talk on my phone that much.  I basically use it for texting, emailing and some porn (just kidding…just checking to see if people actually read these long responses.)  I think I finally got my hearing aids synched up properly with this silly iPhone, but the clarity still isn’t as good as the old skool Nokia.

@octohands:  My FH has the HTC Evo 4G and he likes Android everything, but I just think it’s silly to have all those capabilities on such a tiny screen. It’s perfect for tablets, though. I looked at getting an iPad instead of my Galaxy and I’m glad I went the way I did.

I’ve dabbled into everything – my first smartphone was a Blackberry. In hindsight that thing was awful, but the keyboard is magical. Seriously, if BB wasn’t so horrible I’d switch back for that keyboard.

I then had a Samsung Galaxy (Android) – I liked it, but I didn’t love it.

Then got an iPhone 5, and I absolutely love it. My FI and everyone said I’d hate it and that it was so much worse than Android, but I love it and don’t see myself ever going back.

With that said, FI has the SIII and he absolutely loves it. It is a nice phone that can do a lot of stuff.

I have a Dell windows phone…it wasn’t really advertised and you had to order it straight from Dell.  It’s touch with a slide out keyboard…a dying breed lol.  I’m not sure what I’ll do when it breaks unless blackberry’s new phone is the ish…because I really lurve slide out keyboards.

All of your critiques of the windows phone are pretty accurate.  But I do actually really love the phone and I think it’s a really good fit for me.

ETA: my first smartphone was an android and I hated it with a passion.  I was really ready to turn around and go right back to a “dumb” phone πŸ™‚  I steer clear of anything android.  I have an ipad and it’s cool.
