congrats. Beautiful ring. You can participate in any traditions that you desire. I don’t think age has anything bearing on it. You should do what you want!

Congratulations (to him)! Do whatever you decide fits your relationship. You’re not too old for anything, acct how you feel… And bing a more mature bride has it’s perks too because sometimes you have the budget to make things fit your vision 🙂

To hell with what others think! Lol. Who’s going to pay for your wedding? I assume it will be you Guys? Then do whatever you want! If people don’t like it , they can suck it Up! 😛

I too was engaged for the first time at 39 and married at 40. (When we got married we had been together a little less than 2 years) So worth the wait to find the perfect guy for me!

Do whatever you want! If you want a bachlorette or shower, then let your people know. I didnt want either since I only have a few close girlfriends and it didnt seem worth it. But that’s what worked for me.

I bought all the wedding magazines, but I did was felt right for us. Dont let them make you feel bad or do something that doesnt work for you. A great blog is A Practiacal Wedding (and check out her book). Totally a down to earth place in the crazy wedding un webiverse.
