Which means It will land right on my wedding day….How is that possible ;(:(
Wearing a white huge ballgown and now I’m going to be huge and swollen, not to mention constantly changing….This can’t be happening.
So upset…Just needed to vent.

Im so sorry 🙁 have you tried the diva cup?? You can leave it in for like 12 hours without an issue! If you get one now you might be comfortable enough to use it for your wedding! The bloating I know drinking lots of water helps.

prettyinpink11 : +10000000000000000000000000000!!
The diva cup is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. It’s awkward at first but as soon as you get used to using it it’s a life saver. You just put it in and forget about it for 12 hours, no leaks, you don’t feel it, nothing. It’s like you’re not even on your period hahah, it’s amazing!

sweetblessings56 : I put in another vote for the diva cup… but… get used to wearing and properly positioning it! If it’s not properly inserted it can be a bit of a leak risk. I’d add a heavy pair of Thinx (period panties) to avoid any leakage onto your dress!!

Another vote for a diva cup! You can leave them in for 12 hours, and it’s not dangerous to leave them in longer. Seriously, run to the drugstore and get one now so you can get used to it! They’re freaking amazing. Put in the cup when you get up in the morning, and then use an overnight pad just in case. It’ll be fine and you won’t have to worry!!
OR instead of a pad, go ahead and get Thinx period panties! I love them so much. They’re fantastic backup over pads or liners, although my cup has yet to leak. But I do use Thinx when I get a menstrual migraine and don’t want to put my cup in, and they’ve always been great.
As far as bloating, I’m sorry. 🙁 I gain about 5-10 lbs on my period so I would be freaking out too. Drink a ton of water, don’t consume any sodium, and take some Midol.

Ugh bummer I’m sorry! Are you on the pill? This is why I switched mine around to taking my first pill on Thursday’s instead of Sunday, that way I’m never on my period on the weekends.

Oh bummer! Mine was scheduled for my wedding week too so I manipulated my pills and skipped the off week. I don’t know if your on birth control but maybe you can try this.

Thanks all, I’ll check the cup out. Never heard of the underwear!
No I’m not on the pill.. Sigh nothing I can do about it.

If your wedding is next month, there’s a fair chance that you won’t be on your period then due to stress/excitement changing your cycle. I feel for you, it’s like the universe is playing the ultimate joke because after months of intense planning here’s something you can’t control. Speaking from experience (ahem!) I just want you to know that if it does happen, you’ll be ok. You’ll still look beautiful, and your dress will still look amazing. The most important thing is to be happy on your wedding day, and even if this happens, you’ll still have an amazing day. Good luck 🙂

If you did want to go on the pill right away you could probably delay your period by skipping the placebos and going straight to the next pack and therefore skipping your next period. Otherwise good luck that sucks but it will be ok!

I use a mooncup, same idea as Diva cup. And I agree it awesome. I have a heavy flow though, so I do need to empty it every 6 hours on those days. An accident on your wedding day would be horrible, so make sure you try out any new methods in advance.

sweetblessings56 : i totally feel you!!!!! I was on my third period day on my wedding day!!!!!! It sucked going to the bathroom and changing my stuff … I was so bloated I just couldn’t believe it!!!!!! You can change you’re cycle if you get on the pill!!!!!

I feel you on this…I too will be on the third day of my period (thankfully the lightest and last) during my October wedding. :/ Perhaps I’ll give the diva or moon cup a go too 🙂

My period was supposed to started the day before my wedding, it ended up starting the day after. I had light spotting on the wedding day. I had cramps and didn’t feel too well all week so yes it does suck. Try the diva cup or a tampon and a pad as backup. It’ll be fine though, it’s still your wedidng day and it will still be amazing!!!!

I’m right there with you, bee. I’m on BC so I’m completely regular, and figured out I will be getting my period the day before my wedding. What I’m hoping to do is start a new cycle of BC instead of having the placebo week so I can skip my period for that time, but I’m not sure it’ll work out the way I want. You’re not alone in the struggle!
