Hey bees, I'm so excited I just had to share!

Just after we got engaged, my dad suggested we hold our wedding at the football club where I volunteer. My whole family is very involved in this club, my grandfather, dad, and all my uncles and cousins have played there, and I run the first aid on game days. My uncle is the secretary of the club. We could have the function room for free. Only problem is the room is old and dingy, exposed brick, ripped threadbare carpet, mismatched paint, and its really dark and smells like stale beer. So I shot it down and we kept looking.

Then today my uncle told me that the local council has provided funding for the total renovation of the club! I saw the plans and sketches and it will be perfect! they are replacing 2 walls with floor to ceiling windows, and putting in a new kitchen and bar, new flooring, making it bigger, new sound system, everything!!! And I can still get the venue for FREE. It will be a lovely neutral colour palate so I can DIY whatever I like and it will match, and it will be finished well before my wedding, so no stress about it being finished in time. I'm so happy!!!
