I had a miscarriage with my first pregnancy on July 27th. I was 7 weeks pregnant and we got PG the first time we tried. The doctor who confirmed the MC didn’t mention anything to us about waiting to TTC again so we haven’t been using any BC. We had unprotected sex a few days in a row once I stopped bleeding which was about 10 days after the MC. I’m pretty sure I ovulated that week as well (I was paying close attention to my CM).
Last week I felt bloated and crampy like AF was coming. Then on Thursday I had really intense cramps for about 5 minutes and had a TINY bit of brown spotting…barely even noticeable and I haven’t had any more since then. I wonder if it was implantation cramps? I didn’t have them with my first pregnancy.
Also, my breasts feel sore and (TMI ALERT!) I have a lot of creamy white CM. It looks like it did a few days before I got my last BFP. I have so many of the symptoms I had with my first pregnancy but everything feels even more intense this time around. Maybe it’s because I’m paying so much attention to every little symptom! I bought a couple pregnancy tests from the dollar store and tried one last week and today. Both times I got a BFN which I expected because it’s way too early to test but I couldn’t help but try it anyway! If my calculations are right I am about 10-11 DPO. I’m going to try to hold off until the end of next week before I test again but I’m not sure if I can do it.
How likely do you think it is that I’m pregnant again so soon? I’m scared and excited at the same time. I think that waiting to take another test is going to drive me insane!

It’s definitely possible! Good luck….feel free to join us on the August POAS thread!

I’m not sure I’d get too excited. You just had a miscarriage (sorry to hear about that) so your body is likely all kooky right now. And 10-11 DPO isn’t too early to test. Many people, myself included, get BFP then or sooner. I’m not trying to bum you out, just trying to keep you from getting your hopes really high, then being dissapointed.

@As_You_Wish: I think That it’s very likely for you to be pregnant again! I had a mc in February, and ovulated around two weeks after I stopped bleeding. It was sort of like the MC bleeding was a period, then I ovulated 2 weeks later, and got my period two weeks after that. I would wait until the end of the week to test again! Good luck 🙂

It’s totally possible. Most women are actually more fertile following a miscarriage. I’d wait a couple days then test again. Good luck hun, I know how much you want this!:)

I’d have to agree with @hammerpants, while it’s possible, just try to be prepared for the worst! My cycle has continued to be wonky and irregular since my miscarriage and am on cycle 5 since then.
Of course, it’s possible and only time will tell =)

My mother always told me you were actually MORE fertile just after a MC, for reasons I don’t know or understand, but a friend of mine had a MC in November and conceived late Dec/early January, so it is definitely possible!

@Juliepants: Thanks, I will do that!

@As_You_Wish: It’s definitely possible. I’m proof. I had a m/c on 7/7 and I stopped bleeding the following Friday. Four weeks later 8/9 I had a positive pregnancy test. I have an u/s tomorrow to date my pregnancy. I believe I’m 6 weeks pregnant now, but I it’s possible I got pregnant quicly after I stopped bleeding.
Good luck 🙂

I’m new here i had a mc with my third March 13th it’ll be two weeks Sunday and I’m having weird symptoms Dr basically told me it’s a waiting game for me right now and I have irregular cycles we tried right away after I stopped bleeding so I took one and neg I don’t know when I should keep testing or just wait?

If your mc was around march 13th, 2 weeks later would be your approximate ovulation – but it is hard to tell when Ov would be after a MC. It’s probably too soo to test though, so I encourge you to have a glass of wine and take care of yourself (physically, emotionally, mentally) the few weeks after a MC. I had a chemical pregnancy in early January – was not actively TTC in Jan as I was so upset about the loss and wanted a little break from TTC and surprise, found out I was pregnant in early Feb.
