I found my DB dress a couple months ago. My consultant said that I would need to have length added to the dress. But when I ordered, there was nothing on the form about the length being added, so I just figured it would be added as an alteration. Now I’m wondering if that’s true? Should she have done something on the form that would indicate I needed to order a longer one?! AHHHHH!

Most likely – yes. I’ve never heard of adding extra length in alterations. The length is typically added when the dress is made (one of my BMs had to do this). I’d call BD ASAP and make sure everything was ordered properly.

I had mine ordered with extra length. On the receipt, it didn’t have the words “extra length”, but it did have “L” or “XL’ after the dress number. I asked consultant specifically about it because I am 6 feet tall. There also was no extra charge for extra length, so your receipt would not show an additional charge. I would check the receipt for you to tell you for sure how it was written, but the FI took my car to run some errands and I just realized the receipt is in the car. I will check when he gets home.

Okay, hope this helps…
On the receipt, under the description of the dress, it says “4XLV9364IVORY”. The “4XL” is the extra length. So if you have that, you are good. If it just says the dress number and color, you might need to make a call.
