@ZoeyGirl:  My OB told me I should go into labour within 48 hours of having membranes stripped for my first pregnancy. I ended up in labour naturally so neber got then stripped.

I was 40 weeks pregnant when mine were stripped. I was already 3 centimeters and 75 percent effaced. I had real contractions that day and night, but it didn’t work for me. I was induced at 41+1 due to my second failed NST. Good luck! I hope it works for you!

@ZoeyGirl:  no, didn’t get the cramps until two days later. we also had sex which I believe helped trigger things.

My aunt had her baby within 1 and a half hours of having hers stripped a few months ago. She was 5-6cm dilated already even though labour hadn’t started yet and this was her 3rd pregnancy. Shortest labour yet, but she always has really short ones. Her labour started about a half hour after they were stripped.

@ZoeyGirl:  Good luck! I know it stimulated labour within the next 3 days for her first 2 pregnancies too with the period of time from stripping to baby being shorter each time. She was less dilated with the first 2 too.

My first was painful at 38+3. My second was just really uncomfortable at 39+3. After my 2nd sweep I went in to labour 2 days later and had baby the next day.
