Aw, I love the softer look on you. Super adorable and gorgeous.
Love both your looks! I'm growing my hair out too and every. single. day I have to tell myself that NO I cannot chop it all off today! I cannot dye it whatever I want on a whim! Ugh. So, I totally feel your pain! Although...with 7 months to go, you'd have time to dye your hair red, and still dye it some other color in time for the wedding... ;)
I have a little over 5 months and I need to decide what color I want my hair, since currently its a growing out hot mess!
@virginiamarie, thanks you! it's been a long time coming. :)
@rabbit, oh it sounds so good, doesn't it? you're right though, 7 months is a ton of time to color my hair one shade and then color it back...esp since i'm known to change it every month. but alas, this should be a good test of self control. i'm sure i'll go crazy with it after the wedding!
I totally feel you. I want to chop.my.hair.off.
I think the longer blonde with just the bit of red looks fantastic. It looks so soft and adorable. :)
I love your longer hair! I totally understand the need to change it up though! I am growing mine and can't cut it so I decided to dye it. I just dyed it boring brown but what I really wanted was hair like Christina Hendricks from Mad Men since she looks amazing! Alas, I'm brown until after the wedding, then I'm going to chop and color!
Well, I love the natural look, but I also think you should be you at your wedding. So, if you want to color, cut, whatever, I think that's okay too. But, if being natural is important to you then congrats to you for holding out so you look how you want to look at the wedding.
Your hair looks great!!
I've been growing my hair out for about a year now (it takes its sweet time) and at times I'm ready to just cut it all off. I can only imagine the temptation to cut/color when you have everything at your disposal to do so, haha. Do you already have your wedding day hairstyle chosen? :)
@rachelss, i agree with you. but i guess even the color i want at my wedding wont be my natural color either, but a lighter blonde. most people agree that it looks best and i always go back to it between funky colors, so i'm just going to go with that. thanks tho!
@octoberbee, i do, actually! with four more inches to my hair by the end of october, i'm hoping to do something like this:
the lovely veronica lake!
I love both looks on you! I just want to commiserate... I'm so addicted to dying my hair. I'm down to about 2-3 times a year, and I've found a consistent shade that's close to my natural hair color and works for me. But before that, it was craziness! I've had purple in my hair, plus every natural shade imaginable.
@jenn I love that idea!
Sorry you can't do anything to your hair! I know what you mean, I've wanted to cut it soooo bad but I haven't made my mind up yet. It's such a drag :(

i've been growing my hair out for almost a year and a half and that part has been easy, but not coloring it consistantly (different colors) has been KILLING ME. as a hair stylist, i get to play with color all day and have every tool at my disposal. it's so easy for me to pick up a bowl and brush, some foils and a bit of color at home when i'm bored and wanting to give myself a transformation.
not doing this has been SO hard and i want to go back to red so bad, but i decided to stay blonde until after the wedding. but 7 months?! this will be a serious test in self control since i'm used to changing it every month or more.
here is my progress for growth though! 1st photo is from October 2008 and the second photo is one week ago. difficult to see with the waves the actual length, but it hits my collarbone when straight. this is a huge accomplishment for me!
