- Wedding: September 2012
Hi everyone. I’m married! I am so elated. 🙂
Due to some health issues, this was almost the wedding that never was, but with the help of my church, friends, and family, I had an amazing day. Things didn’t always go as planned, but through it all, I just took everything in stride, because all that mattered was that I was going to marry the man of my dreams.
I don’t have many pics, but when I have some more I will post them here. My friend/photographer (yes, I am a budget bride) was late, so we didn’t take all those great wedding shots that families usually take. But that’s ok. As long as I have a few good ones to frame and make a small album with, I’m good.
A few things that were different about my wedding is that I am a second time around bride, and I wore a veil. Though some thought it might seem inappropriate, on my day everyone thought I looked stunning and loved the veil!
Also, I had a morning wedding followed by brunch. I was so concerned about having activites, but due to my health I just put those fears aside. I am so glad I did because the socializing was the best part! Everyone had fun, and everything was beautiful. Turns out adults entertain themselves as long as there is yummy food and good conversation to be had. 🙂
Our rings are proof that you can have a beautiful set on a budget. You just have to put a lot of work in finding it. All together, our rings cost $530. Mine are Rose Gold, and his is Tungsten with Rose Gold inlay. 🙂
Everything but my Husband’s suit, and my husband and and kid’s shoes, was purchased in Downtown Los Angeles at the Fashion District. Ladies, if you are on a budget, this is the place to go. I even got my wedding dress altered there.
