Looks great! I vote painting that short inside wall right there, too
I really like it...also, love the chandelier as well :)
I think two walls would be different and kinda cool! But it isn't needed.
Also, your wedding date is the day after my bday!
I like the color! I think if you paint the inside left wall it would be nice since that whole section of the dining room will look like its own room.
Thanks ladies!! Yeah, we were thinking that painting that inside wall would look better painted too!! I'm glad yall like it. I was so scared it'd turn out bad!
My bedroom at my parents house used to be that color! Its very calming.
Thanks @jslsbride!!
@zippy: I hope your parents didn't get tired of it!! I'm just hoping we'll love it FOREVER...or at least as long as we live here :)
@Lees- Bwahaha. I have no idea. I only lived with it for a few months and then I went to college! Take that mom. lol
i love it! where did you get that table? I have been looking for a square table that has short chairs.. not the tall chairs that have become really popular
@zippy: Haha, that's funny. "take that mom"..haha!
@studentbride: Thank you girl! I got it from Home Place Furniture. We actually got a really good deal on it!! It's an espresso color. I got it around August of last year, so they may still have it!
Love that color! It's totally cute! And I love your dining room set, BTW.
I love that color! Our bedroom is just a shade lighter, and it's crazy relaxing. I vote for painting that left wall, too, I think it would really make the dining room come together.
I love that color! You guys did a fantastic job, it looks great!
Thank you ladies!! :) I'm happy with the way it turned out. Now - if yall have a minute I'd like to ask another question! :)
On the right wall we have a picture that's going to be hung there, so I'm not as worried about that wall - but that wall right in front of the picture...what do yall suggest I put there?! I have absolutely no idea what to put in that space, but it looks so dull & boring with nothing on the walls! Thanks so much ladies!
Looks good, I like the color. I'm thinking of something along those lines for my office when we get our house
I love that color! It is perfect and pretty in a you-wont-hate-it-in-2-years kinda way :)
i love that color! i had my bedroom painted that color at my parents house :) never got sick of it either... pretty and calming.
For that main wall, maybe a large mirror? ( and later on maybe a skinny console table and large hurricane candles or other accents) or maybe a cluster of 6 separate pictures in frames...black and white photography maybe?? just some ideas.
p.s. your apartment seems totally cute!!
I LOVE that color. You can't tell from this picture because the lamp makes the wall color look funky, but I swear we used the same color in our living room and dining room.
Here's a pic of the living area right after we finished painting.

Thanks ladies!
@krissy: Thank you! A big mirror could be something we look into. I wouldn't mind doing a lot of picture frames, either...but I just worry that it wouldn't go well. I'm not too creative myself, I get my ideas from inspirational pictures & whatnot! We were also thinking possibly floating shelves? Who knows..
But thank you girl for your input!
@2010: Wow that looks very homey!! I love it!! I LOVE fireplaces - it looks like you have a real one! We have a fake one but I still love it :) It definitely goes well!!
I think a big mirror would look great on that wall, too.
As for painting the small wall to the left, I think you could go either way. Leave the green as more of an accent, or go ahead and paint it to make the dining room more of it's own.
Thanks, Lees. It is really homey... the space isn't too big, our house is 100 years old, so while it has it's charm, it's also lacking in the oversize rooms and closets that homes have today, but we've done the best we could with it and we really like it. Our dining room is on the other side of the couch and we painted that whole room the green, too. We love it. Very calming. Oh, It is a real fireplace. It's my first time ever having a real fireplace, it's really nice but surprisingly, we've actually used it less during the winter because the chimney sucks the heat rght out of the house. Though we did just spent like $300 to have the chimney guy put some special cap and damper on it that is supposed to help with that, too. We'll see.
@2010: I LOVE older houses, but I know what you mean about the space. You're right, their closets definitely aren't as spacious as todays houses are. But the living room looks great to me! I really hope the extra $300 you paid is worth it!
Sorry, I forgot about this thread. I love old houses too. I especially love our front porch. I really, really wanted an old house, but there are compromises to be made when you take on one! Though, I guess that's to be said with any house, unless there is absolutely no budget involved, there really is no perfect house.
Anyway...enough about my house, this is your post and I think your dining room looks awesome. What did you guys decide to do about that small wall?
@2010: I forgot about this post too! I think we may paint it, we haven't made a definite decision yet. :( We still have to decide on what to even put on the walls!
I love it! I am a huge fan of earthy tones too my FI tells me maybe too much but I cant help me =)
Wow, it's so fresh yet homey! Can you tell me what brand and color it was? It's always nice to see a painted room over a paint chip!
I love it! what a great contrast with your floors and dining room set. I also agree with everyone go ahead and paint that inner wall!

So, first of all - sorry for neglecting the boards this weekend! I've been super busy doing wedding things :)
Me & FI got a wild hair tonight & decided to paint our dining room! It's pretty open so I wasn't sure how it'd turn out...but I think it turned out pretty good! I'm a huge fan of earthy colors, so we picked a nice green. I'm still getting used to it...but I want to know what yall think!! :)
The last one was with the flash OFF. It's not LIME green but it's kind of between a light & dark green. me & FI had a blast!!
We were also thinking about painting the wall that's on the inside corner to the left, some paint ran off on it anyway...should we paint it, too?!
Thanks for looking ladies! Hope everyone had a fab weekend!
