So I guess I am on my runners high I just ran 10 miles!!!
I am training for my second attempt at a half marathon (my first time I didnt cross the finish line-which was a huge bummer- I fainted at mile 13!)…. My running buddy is out of town and I was anxious to run 10 miles by myself- and now its done- and it took me under two hours! Yay!
Any other bees out there training for their first big races- half marathons, marathons, tris? Also, any Boston area bees planning on running the Run to Remember?

YAY – – I am training for my fist Half Marathon, its June 26th. I am only at about 6-8 miles per day right now. And the truth is I”m really at 6 and I try to run 8 on the weekends, haahaahaa…Tomorrow will be my 8 mile day…
@littlecat – – Since you have already done your first 1/2 do you think I am at the correct miles right now in my training???

Congratulations!! Good luck in your second 1/2 marathon– I’m sure you’ll do great. What pace are you trying to run for your race?
I’m getting ready to start the training for my second marathon, which is in October. My first marathon last year was really rough and I finished more than an hour slower than my target pace, so I am hoping with better training and some running buddies, my second marathon will be much more enjoyable.

Thanks ladies 🙂 Your kind words mean a lot!
to answer some of your questions:
@jackie-o: I am no pro- but I definitely think you are in good shape for your training! I rely on Hal Higdon’s training, and since you have more than a month to go, and are already at 8 miles, you should do great!
@MsTerrapin: My main goal is just to finish :)… I run about a 10 minute mile in long distances, so I am hoping to finish in under 2.5 hours- a personal goal of 2 hours and twenty minutes…
