Apparently the pastor did not arrange the wedding with the church like he said he would, now there is a strong possibility that my fiance and I may not have a ceremony venue 9 DAYS before the WEDDING! I am hurt beyond words and so upset.

Oh no! That’s so horrible! I think this is the point where you get all your friends and family to call around as much as you can to try and find a location.

Oh no! Any kind of back-up plan? Can the pastor perform the service at a different church or something? That is ROUGH!!! Good luck hun!

Oh no! When will you know for sure if you can have it at the church or not? Can you call the church and beg? What is the pastor doing to fix this situation?

note to everyone: double check things before the wedding – all vendors, all venues!! Even if you’re sure! It is very unfortunate that this should happen to anyone.
Hopefully you can arrange something – different time of the day, different area of the church, something close by, can you do it outside in a church garden or across the street nearby in a park or something – what about your reception venue?

The pastor should certainly be doing EVERYTHING possible to fix this mistake. If he can’t make it work at his church.. he likely has contacts at other churches in the area. If that falls through what about your reception site? Do you they have a location where you could have the ceremony? Hopefully you’ll come up with a solution ASAP so you can let all your guests know about the change. Good luck!

I’d get everyone in the wedding party to find a new location.. AND A NEW PASTOR.

Thank you for your support during this ordeal. As we speak or write lol the pastor is trying to figure things out and unfortunately it is his fault seeing that he told my fiance and I that he would take care of the church arrangements. I just received a call from the church coordinator and she said the pastor fixed the problem. Thank goodness! I was soooo freaked out. The only other thing I am worried about is the fact that the pastor told us not to worry about the church rental and now the lady is saying we need to pay 375 dollars which to me is ridiculous seeing that we will only be using the church for about an hour.

Perhaps the pastor should pay part or all of that fee – although that fee is pretty standard so it should have been budgeted in when planning. Glad it all worked out!!

I’m glad everything worked out!
$375 does seem a little high, though. I assumed $150-$250 was expected.
