Bakers I'd check out Bethel Bakery! Their cakes are amazings. Thats about all I can help you with as we haven't really gotten too much further than that in our planning.
I got my cake from Pastries Ala Carte and couldn't be happier! Their butter cream icing is amazing and I personally liked it better than Bethel. They are located in the South Hills on 51 . . . make sure you check them out! http://www.pastriesalacarte.com/
As for invitations, contact Anne Lehman. She's a phenomanal designer and used to work with my fiance. I'm not sure what her prices are like but her work is great! http://www.annelehmandesign.com
Good luck!!
Eric Wenning was our dj and we have had so many guests tell us how much they enjoyed him and how great they thought he was. He kept the party going the ENTIRE night. There was never a time where the dance floor was empty. He even busted out beads and leis at one point! It was awesome. (Oh I should also mention that he and his assistant helped with the chair covers when things got a little behind at the reception as well. : ) )
Amy from Nota Bene in Aspinwall was our stationer and helped me create incredible customized invitations. She was great to work with and I would definitely use them again.
We used Epic Limo for the bridal party limo and Amore Limo for the guest shuttle to and from the reception.
For your cake you have to check out Signature Desserts in Castle Shannon they are AMAZING. I grew up in Pittsburgh and always thought I would have Bethel Bakery do my cake because thats who everyone has- I went to see them and showed them a picture of the cake I wanted and got quoted at $684 (for a 4 tier cake with sugar leaves that would feed 130 people). I was floored at the price and decided to check out Signature Desserts after a friend reccomended them. They have so many different fillings/batters to chose from(you pick ur 2 favorite combos and they make you a whole cake to take home so you can think about it). Their cake is to die for... so much better than bethel bakery. They do something really unique as well- instead of just having a wedding cake they make you a dessert table that includes a full size wedding cake, pies, cakes, tarts, and chocolate covered strawberries. THe amount of desserts you get depends on the package you choose (depends on you # of guests). Mine was for 130 people and ony costs $400!!!!
For your DJ I would reccomend looking into Party Time Productions. Steve Lebo is great- very personable and fun. I know he's going to do a great job at our wedding.THey aren't the cheapest option out there but you are paying for quality and reputation!
