Totally understandable!!! There is nothing wrong with wanting the “traditional” commitment signs, even though I agree that marriage is not always needed inorder to feel committed…

Just a question…you havent spoken about weddings/marriage in a month. Are you noticing that maybe it is helping speed him along? Theres always the question on it Shutting it Up works. Wondering what your thoughts are after not saying anything for the last few weeks???

I’ve been in your position so I know how frustrating it is having to wait for ‘the right time’. When you’re both financially ready, despite knowing you’ve been emotionally ready for a while. But the day will come so in the meantime just enjoy the fact that you’ve got an amazing man who loves you and who you’re proud to be with. I committed to ‘shut it up’ re the engagement talk a few months ago and in the last week accidentally discovered that my man has purchased the ring. So maybe that’s proof that it really works. 😉

Completely understandable! You shouldn’t feel dumb at all for wanting to be married. It’s not necessary, but it feels more special I think. I refused to move in with my boyfriend until he proposed because, as I said to him, I didn’t want to just live with someone. That kind of sped things up. But barring you moving out (which I don’t recommend… he might take it the wrong way) the best you can do is not bring it up again and trust that it will happen in the right time.

All the best!

I get what you mean about being engaged. Part of me wants to tell you “Be happy you have your health, a man who adores you and you know wants to be with you everyday because he is!!” and the other part “Uh huh, being engaged is the best feeling in the world and I can’t wait for you to experience it too”. I will definately say there is a different “feeling” being a guys gf and being his FI.

The one good thing for you is you know thats the path you’re heading towards so keep your chin up and your wedding mind here on WB…. it’s a great outlet with women who are like minded!!!
