@MandaMack: , I’m just so sick of my job. Mleh…I just wanna win the lottery and start an animal rescue…

OMG, we just became platonic soul mates with that statement! That’s always been my dream, to save and give a home to every downtrodden animal in the world. Sadly, that takes ALOT of money, and it don’t exactly grow on trees.

Anyway, I feel ya, I’m PMS-ing this week, too, and hating my job and boss(es) at the moment as well. Eat a cookie, or two, or a dozen, washed down with ridiculous amounts of wine. And cry. And then be done with it. Good luck!

I’m sorry!  I was in a job situation similar to that a few years ago (but my boss was downright abusive) and I was miserable all the time.  It sounds like you are carrying a heavy load and your boss should be kissing up to you to make sure YOU don’t leave!

I’m in the mood for a cookie too.  I’m burned out from pretty much everything right now and have been trying REALLY hard to avoid extra calories.  Let’s take a virtual trip to a cozy kitchen and bake cookies Smile

Ugh. I’m sorry.  Did she make clear what she thinks you did wrong/could do better, or was it totally arbitrary?

@MandaMack: it could be worse…you could work for the evil empire of Pittsburgh…they are the parents of soul crushers!!!

One good thing about all this responsibility is you can ask for a pretty big raise!

That sounds so awful.  How important is it to you to stay with that particular company?  I know you probably don’t want to look for a new job while planning a wedding, but I know how much situations like that drain the life out of a person.  When I was at the job I mentioned in my other comment, I really did cry at work a lot.  It wasn’t the most professional thing I could’ve done, but I could not bear what I was going through and couldn’t help it.

And I know it’s not that easy to just go out and get a new job so I know that’s not always the best solution.  In times when I’ve been unhappy with my job, it has helped me to think of steps I can take to try and move on or get out.  Even if you’re still stuck, sometimes it feels proactive just to be taking steps and being able to visualize a better work life. I think the hard thing about being in unpleasant work environments is that it feels like it will be that way FOREVER.

But I’m sorry–sending hugs your way!  Stress and unpredictable bosses are the worst!

@Miss. Meeps: Bahaha, we work for the same evil empire (at least I think). Starts with a U and ends with a C?

Well, the two of us… at 50,000 other Pittsburghers 🙂
