Welcome!!!! Wow, 7 years! That's a long time!! You'll love it here & you'll get a lot of fun ideas. I'm glad @tessa posted the link where Mr. Bee wrote about "waiting". It's very helpful!! We've all grown to be really good friends on here, & although this IS a wedding site - we talk about almost anything & everything so feel free to bring up anything!! :)

Thanks everyone. We met about 15 years ago at my very first job when we were in high school. I've never really been one to care much about getting married because I have seen so many end the wrong way. My parents. My grandparents. Numerous friends. But I know now that just because theirs ended the wrong way, doesn't mean that mine will.
We've been discussing things about the last 6 months or so.
I am just glad to have found such a great board!

I totally understand how you view marriage, im in the same situation. Me and my bf's parents are divorces. I'm hoping not to repeat the same cycle. I wish you the best.

Anytime someone needs to vent, we are all here - anytime someone has something to celebrate, we are all here! Don't worry - you are not the only "long-term" waiting gal in the game - Mr. CW and I have been dating for almost 6 years! Hi. I found this site a few days ago and I am already addicted! This is my first post, and I figured it should go in the waiting section. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting. My bf & I have been together almost 7 years. I am beginning to wonder if it will ever happen. I am almost ready to give up. Sigh....
