I stopped taking my BC in April to give my body a few months to regulate itself before we started TTC. That way I could get a feel for how long my cycles are, and make sure all the extra hormones were out of my system. This is our first official TTC cycle.
We're thinking about trying in February or march as well. I went off the pill a few weeks a go, both bc I was sick of how I felt on it, and bc I want to give my body time to get back on track working normally. Are you taking Pre natal vitamins? You should start!
If you have PCOS it is a good idea to start trying and charting IMMEDIATELY! Sometimes women with PCOS have a sweet heart period where their bodies act 'normally'. You will want to take advantage of this period if you have it before your homones get all out of wack!
I have been off the BCP since the end of May and I have not ovulated nor has AF come to visit so it looks like I am not one of those lucky ladies with a sweetheart period. I have an appointment with my Reproductive Endocrinologist to start Metformin in Sept so hopefully that will get me back in the game.
So are we behind then? Should I just stop taking them right after we get married? Can I take prenatal vitamins while on the pill?
yes, you can take them while on the pill! And as long as you use another form of protection, I see no harm in going off now :)

FI and I were talking about TTC last night and we agreed that we would like to have a child next fall/winter. My work is very busy during the summer but a fall/winter baby would allow me to stay home once baby is born for a few months.
That being said, we agreed that it would be perfect to get pregnant in February-March. I am on Lutera (BC pill) now and have PCOS - My PCOS doesn't seem to be as bad as others. Getting on the pill has really helped regulate my period and I have lost 40 since diagnosis. I spoke with my doctor before and she told me that if he and I had any trouble, she wouldn't make me wait 6+ months before working on treatments, other methods, etc.
Do you think stopping my pill in December would be a good idea? When you would you quit taking it?
