I'm only spending $380, but that is because I'm only getting personal flowers for myself and the guys and gals (no reception or ceremony decor).
We spent a little under $250 on ours. However, we needed only two bridal bouquets, one MOH bouquet, and one bout. And we were using roses, which are pretty much available year-round.
At the reception, the only flowers we had were some freeze-dried rose petals scattered on the cake and the tables. We bought those for $50, used less than half of them, and sold the rest for $25 after the wedding.

My flowers were $381 and included the following:
-bridal bouquet: with bright blue hydrangreas (apparently a little more expensive than powder blue?), white gerbera minis and I'm adding an elephant charm to it
-3 BM bouquets: just plain white gerbera daises (the large ones)
-1 toss bouquet: similar to the BM bouquets but smaller
-6 bouts: white gerbera minis (a little extra something in FHs bout to match my bouquet)
-2 corsages: white gebera minis (I think)
-6 centerpieces: light blue hydranges, another white flower (its a filler-- I forget what its called), and white gerbera daisies
-delivery
I thought I got a pretty decent price too.
My wedding package is right at 600 hundred right now but the other day i added a few more arrangments so it will be going up . but that is including my boquet and my bridesmaids boquets and all the boutineers plus the corsages for the mom's and the grandma's and the rental's and set up and delivery . So i didn't think that was a bad at all plus im using Cala Lily's and Stargazers as my flowers . So hope this helps you out hun.
flowers are so expensive!! i WISH i could get our bill under 1k!! but it was 2k :( darn centerpieces!
I did the flowers for our wedding myself. I ordered 350 roses from theflowerexchange.com and my MOH and myself did the bouquets and centerpieces the morning before the wedding. I did get the bouts and hair flowers from a florist because I didn't want roses for those. Loved how everything turned out!
For 9 bouquets, 10 corsages, and 16 bouts, we're paying about $700. That includes; cabbage roses, ranunculus, lilac, lily of the valley, iris, sweet pea, lavender, rosemary, and other flowers. We plan on DIYing 25 floral centerpieces for an additional $400.
Mine are about $3000 for all the bouquets, arch, centerpieces, aisle design
Monny,
My MOH and I are planning on doing the same thing. Did you have trouble at all ordering flowers that way? And if you had any examples on how to put the bouquets together, can you share the site you used??
I budgeted $1K for flowers, and we managed to come in just slightly under budget. We purchased a lot, so I think it's a pretty good deal!
Here is my quote.

@baybejen: Hi! I have the same amount of people in my bridal party as you, but I am also doing centerpieces on 16 tables, my price is about $800. Cutting centerpieces it would have been around $400. I was really surprised as well at how much flowers didn't cost, thought it would be a lot more, but I also am not doing anything too eloborate at the tables.
Everyone's feedback was super helpful and its making me feel a little bit better about the flowers package we got. Thank you SO MUCH ^_^
I guess it really depends on how much you order, and what you order. I am amazed at the girls who are doing the DIY.. that's just so much money you girls saved! I really applaud you girls for doing that, as for me, I'm just a bit too lazy to do too much DIY, but too much on a budget to go all out (though i'd really love to) lol.. I guess I fell within the range that was right for me =)
Everything is silk in my wedding. All my bouquets (5 of them) were under $100 and centerpieces were uner $10 a piece. :D Granted they aren't real but who cares?
I was surprised by how inexpensive my floral quote turned out to be. It was below $600 and included the bridal bouquet, MOH and MtOH, 2 mom corsages, 10 bouts, large altar arrangement and delivery/set up/taxes. We are using the large alter arrangment for the sweetheart table at the reception.
I'm DIY the centerpieces, but she did quote me only $25/ea to put those together for me if I provide the supplies. I am doing tall vases of peacock feathers. I can make those ahead of time. I am trying to decide if I want to buy vases and do them myself or use the vases the venue has and pay the florist to do them. The vase that I want is $25.
@DeaconBride: Thanks for all your input!! If you want to do the vases on your own, I found this site for cheap crafts, including vases, http://www.save-on-crafts.com. I'm buying the bubble/fish bowl type vases to fill with shells and sand for my centerpieces and they are SO affordable (ergo, the reason i could cut out centerpieces :D). Check them out and see if you can find vases that you are looking for!!
hi! i am in awe of how small everyones florist bill is! my flower needs consist of my bouquet, moh bouquet, jrmoh bouquet, 5 bm bouquets, 11 bouts, 5 wristlets, and 12 centerpieces. we are only using tulips and our wedding is in march! tulips are in season and i dont get where the 3k quote is coming from!!!
we DIYed so ours were only $120 total! and we only did flowers for the wedding party and parents. our centerpieces were paid for by MIL.
Here's mine from a florist who uses locally grown, organic flowers:
$ 80.00 Bridal bouquet: 8”- 8.5” tight mound of red tulips; no foliage; hand tied with an ivory ribbon band
$120.00 2 Bridesmaids’ bouquets: 7” mound of white tulips; hand tied with a band of celery green ribbon
$ 35.00 Junior Bridesmaid bouquet: 5” mound of white tulips: celery green ribbon band
$ 48.00 4 boutonnieres: 1 tulip framed by a Salal leaf with 2 Lily grass tips to the side in a fairly vertical presentation
Groom: red tulip
Others: white tulips
$ 50.00 2 Moms’ corsages” 2 tulips (probably red) with white hyacinth florets, small Salal leaves and Lily grass tips and ribbon
______
$333.00
$ 18.32 sales tax
-----------
$351.32
My total came to $650 for:
1 bridal bouquet
1 toss bouquet (complimentary)
5 BM bouquets
8 corsages
6 bouts
We got a quote for centerpieces, but they were out of our price range. I decided to DIY with a frame, votives, and a submerged orchid in a cyldiner vase on each table.
Mine was $2K for 1 bridal bouquet, 3 BM bouquets, 6 bouts, 3 corsages, 2 alter arrangements, and 17 centerpeices. I wish I had had the sense to do non floral centerpeices because I feel like we had to skimp on the size of each arrangement to keep them within budget. Hopefully people will at least take them home and enjoy them for a day or two after the wedding before they die.

So I finally got a run down of how much flowers are going to cost for our wedding and I was surprised; in a good way! Lol.. I expected to pay over 1k; we had planned 1 bridal bouquet, 4 bridesmaids bouquets, 4 groomsmen, corsages and boutineeres for the elders and siblings, rose petal aisle runner, arc decoration.. + transportation and setup fees.. and it was way less than i expected. I had no idea how expensive the centerpieces were.. but I guess it does add up; so we threw those out and saved a ton O_o
Also, we're reusing the arc decoration during the reception too so we did not need any decor for the reception to be added.
Just wanted to be sure though, how much do you spending on your flowers? and what did it include? and how picky are you being about the flowers? lol.. I'm just hoping "extra" charges won't pop up because I want to throw in some crazy exotic flower or something.. anyways, let me know your thoughts!
