Personally, no way would I buy it. Everyone would be comparing us and I would feel less special.
I kind of feel like we should't be able to buy it - it belongs on her. It's too iconic to become a dress that everyone wears, all the time. Getting inspiration from her style (i.e. lace, simplicity, large pleats in the dress) is a little different.
Hahaah! And yes, this is certainly a dress that pretty much everyone has seen so they could compare.
And I wouldn't buy it because I don't like it. But if I did, and I had not already bought a dress and I could afford it? Hells ya I get it.
I would only wear a dress like that if I was also marrying a prince, or having some lavish, grand affair with 500 guests. Otherwise, I'd just feel silly.
I would sweat like a fat kid in gym if I wore sleeves on my wedding dress - lace or not !
I seriously wouldn't want to show up to my own wedding having everyone there thinking that someone else looked better in the dress I was wearing.
A. I wouldn't want everyone comaring me to her.. because she is GORGEOUS
B. That dress is really really not my style
Also, i have fat arms. They would look like encased sausages in that dress. All my fat swooshing through the lace? It would not be pretty
@Oneeleven: did you change your icon? Very cute! But that was kinda my point, regardless of whether or not it's your style or you liked the design, what if it looked the best on you--would you buy it?
The Legends by Romona Keveza dress that looks just like Kate's was on the runway three weeks ago.
Obviously, some designers were sketching their knock offs as she walked down the aisle, but sleeves and lace were BIG on the runways during Bridal Fashion week this year.
I believe this went down the runway on April 11th:
EDIT: I found an interview where Romona said she designed the collection with Kate in mind. Is she psychic?
"Romona Keveza explained she designed her new Legends collections with Kate in mind. "I took elements from Kate's personal style such as ruched waists, flowing skirts, these are things she is known for, v-necklines and also I did illusion necklines -- perfect for very formal weddings," she said."

I did! Its my Ering on my Devil Cat figurine
I guess there only so many different ways to design a white long dress...
I would buy it if it were the dress I loved the most, but not because Kate wore it. Personally I love the idea of sleeves, but they weren't my dream wedding style so I wouldn't end up with it either way.
@Jeannine @ Small Chic: That dress is gorgeous, especially with the veil. The styling is really similar to Kate, so maybe she is a little psychic ha.
Before this year (with Kate and Ivanka's dresses), I didn't know I liked dresses with lace sleeves that much, but now I've realized I really do like the look of them. So if I didn't already have my dress, which I love, and I actually liked the way this style of dress looked on me, I would get that type of dress if I felt it fit the tone of my wedding. But I wouldn't buy an exact replica of Kate's gown because that would feel too copycat-like for me.
NEVVERRRR! I'd never buy it, even if it looked great on me. So many brides are going to be wearing it. Plus, like a PP mentioned, everyone will be comparing you to Kate. She's so amazingly gorgeous, who would want that?
@Jeannine @ Small Chic: Absolutely stunning. The whole thing. She is psychic!
Hell to the no. I will never understand why people feel they must wear what the famous people wear. Be yourself. Be unique. Just because they wear it, it doesn't mean you have to (or should) wear it too.
Nope, because even if it looked AMAZING and swoon-worthy on me, it just isn't my style.
I tried on SEVERAL wedding gowns and all of them looked great on me, especially the DB's alternative to the Alfred Angelo Ariel Gown. BUT, I didn't buy ANY OF THEM. And let me tell you, I REALLLLLY wanted that Ariel-type gown. WOW!!!! GORGEOUS!!! and it looked DAMN good on me (and not just my MOH thought this, but also MANY of the DB staff and other girls there, lol).
BUT I didn't buy it because it just wasn't gonna work with our theme.
So, even if it was THE BEST GOWN EVER on me, I'd still pass on it for something that was more ME and that looked just as amazing. Which probably wouldn't be a true-blue wedding gown. :)
I'd buy/wear the BACK of Kate's gown (and the sleeves over a strapless) in a New York minute!!!
I loved it...on her. Which is why I wouldn't, because I look nothing like her other than that we are both extremely tall. I also wouldn't want to wear a knockoff of something that looked SO amazing on the original wearer. I wish they didn't do replicas of amazing dresses like that, but alas, it's all about money. Meh.
No, because I like a very different style of dress. But for a royal wedding, it was perfect.
If I had Kate's body, Kate's money, and wasn't already married, I would buy something pretty similiar...It was a gorgeous dress. I loved the neckline.

As expected, replicas of Kate’s dress is out and will be in stores I’ve heard anywhere from 3 weeks to 8 weeks. My question is, even if you could buy it, afford it and it looked awesome on you, would you buy such an iconic dress especially so soon after it’s splashed all over the place?
