Do you have a pic of the dress? I'm sure it'll be cute. When we were in Kauai I joked with my DH that he was the only person on the island who didn't wear a hawaiian print shirt.

We went there for our honeymoon! People at the St. Regis were kind of wearing whatever. Everything from shorts/tanks to more expensive looking dresses. I think a hawaiin print dress would be just fine.
I just got back from Hawaii last week and I noticed a lot of this. Lots of Hawaiian looking maxi dresses everywhere. Still a very casual vibe though. Shorts, tanks, sun dresses, sandals. Also I let my hair dry naturally and only wore mascara if I wore makeup at all. It was great! Have fun!

Quick question - Is it considered fashionable to wear a hawaiian print dress in Hawaii? Or is this out of style and considered dorky?
I ask because we will be spending our honeymoon in Kauai and I found a very cute hawaiian print strapless dress (Tibi) and I feel like out honeymoon is the perfect excuse to buy it. I've been told that Kauai is pretty casual and I should mostly be packing shorts and tank tops. But, I like to dress up and will if there's an excuse. We will be going to at least one fancier dinner at the St. Regis...can I wear a hawaiian print dress? Or, will I look dorky? In other words, do young women wear hawaiian print things in Kauai?
