So, we went all over looking for FI’s ring and he found one at Kay’s. I’m not a big fan of Kay’s but his ring is his ring…
Well, I got the call that it was in so last night we went to go pick it up. I told them my name, showed ID, and 20 min. later they still couldn’t produce his ring. They looked it up and said the “customer cancelled the order.” Um, No, I’m standing right here to pick it up!
Ugh, Thankfully, there’s time to get another back in, but they also never refunded my card after this supposedly cancelled order.
Has anyone else had issues with them? I really kind of just want to cancel for real and go elsewhere… they were going to give him the STORE’s sample ring!

My ring is from Kay’s and they actually have been amazing to us. My FI ring is from another jeweler though, just because he didn’t really find one he loved as much at Kay’s.

@jtsing: Ya, I have a feeling it could depend even on what employees are in a store at what time. The first time we had a great associate. this time, Every employee and the on duty manager were freakishly quiet, and didn’t were silent through the whole time. The whole 20 min. they were looking the only thing they actually said was “could it be another name?” And then at the end, “It appears the order was cancelled.”
It was so strange!
They weren’t even talking to the customers looking at rings. It was just a really weird vibe last night, and on top of loosing his ring… eh.. I’m not so confident in my local store right now..

Wow, that is totally unfortunate. I would talk to your FI and see if he would like to look at other rings, or do you have another Kay’s location near by ?

I would go somewhere else.
