I think it must be normal because I have them too! But our wedding are still a long ways away, so maybe it is a little wierd...:)
Look, whenever something is on our mind, it seeps into our dreams, right? And I'm sure we all get anxious over what could go wrong on such an important day!
I have dreamt that all the details of the wedding fall apart and everything is unorganized and chaotic (which for me is probably just the worst thing ever since I'm super organized and a control freak).
I also dreamt that I got pregnant and I would be 8months pregnant at the time of the wedding.
Also- I'm of the belief that dreams are more about our feelings rather than prophecies...
Ok I had a wedding nighmare last night.
FI and I are having a 2 person wedding (no guests).
I had a dream last night that everyone showed up where we are getting married, and my friends had taken it upon themselves to wear bridesmaid dresses they picked out themselves. (they were all matching and cute but still)
I was like, what are you guys doing here!!! GO AWAY!!!
My FI's boss is also a racecar driver and wants to go with him one year to Kansas ( We live in New Hamphire) to assist him the races. Well I had a dream that he went and that one night while there he cheated on me with some random girl at the hotel! I woke up crying and not able to breathe for what seemed like forever! Of course FI said nothing like that would ever happen but gosh that sucked!
I've had several of these and they are always related to the wedding suddenly being very soon and there is tons of stuff that I haven't done. I wake up in a panic!
Yeah I get wedding nightmares ALL the time. My wedding planner said that's when you know you're well into the planning process, and its TOTALLY normal.
You guys are making me feel so much better! I'm a super control freak, type A personality so not having stuff done is what really freaks me out. I'm just wondering if I should hire a DOC to help with some of these fears.
I had a dream that was horrible! It started out that my sister and I were getting married on the same day, same place... her wedding was first and mine was right after. We went through her wedding and it was beautiful, everything went perfect. Then when it came time to my wedding, I realized that I had nothing! No dress, no flowers, no reception hall... NOTHING. I woke up freaking out since I had a nightmare a few days before waking up one morning realizing that it was my wedding day and once again, I had nothing. It was pretty horrible! lol
I have these dreams all the time, all revolving around things I forgot to do. The last one was the worst, because I had forgotten to do EVERYTHING. In the dream, I kept calm, and I kept thinking, "it's okay, because all that matters is that we'll be married after this"...only to realize that we had forgotten to go get the marriage license! Gaaaaahhhhh!
@WannaBeDIYBride: I have those same dreams almost every time it's about the wedding. I just have to wake up and tell myself: I will have a dress, I will have my party there, I will have pictures taken, everything will be perfect or pretty damn close to it.

i have had countless wedding nightmares over the last six months. they cover about every aspect of my wedding from hair, officiant, dress, photographer, bridesmaids, ceremony, you name it, i had a nightmare about it. that is one thing i am looking forward to ending when the wedding is over. but then i guess i will have to deal with post wedding depression (PWD)
i was having crazy dreams for a bit but then they stopped. all from FH asking other girls out in front of me to it being time to walk down the aisle and not having my hair done. then they stopped for a while. until the night before last. it was 15 minutes til the wedding and i was no wheres near the church. so i had to drive myself. and on the way i realized i had forgotten my vows so i was freaking out. when i got to the church i realilzed i was wearing a blacky lacy dress of sorts. i found my mother and said "i cant get married like this! wheres my dress?" and my mother said "dont worry you look fine" and i ran off to find my dress and then i woke up....
its very odd but ive been told not too uncommon as you approach the big day. i have a month to go!
Oh thank God!!! I've been having terrible dreams all week! I am stressed with school, job hunting and wedding planning, so sometimes my dreams encompass all of that....with a lot of yelling and crying.
It is definitely normal! We all deal with SO much in our daily lives - work/school, household crap like cooking and cleaning, money stresses, regular life nonsense and energy spent on friendships and your relationship... then add a WEDDING on top of it. Where no matter what your wedding is, there is sure to be extra stresses in some aspects of it.
We go go go all day long, and the only time your mind has the time to let all that energy out is when we're sleeping.
For me, I've found if I make lots and lots of lists to get random thoughts out of my head and into the computer, it takes away a lot of that anxiety that builds up during the day.
Good luck!

This is sort of long and confusing but I have to talk to someone about it....
Okay I've been having wedding nightmares and they all seem to fit around the same "plot". Every single dream is about not having everything done or missing something. Last nights was horrible.
I dreamed that I was standing at the back of the church, (first clue it wasn't my dream wedding since my wedding is outside) as the wedding party goes down the aisle the groomsmen are just randomly scattered throughout the audience wearing white shirts, with colored undershirts on. And as I look toward the front to see them standing up there, I see that the Best Man is missing. Ummm where is he? At a basketball convention! As I turn to my GROOM, who by the by is sitting beside me in the back row, and ask him what's going on. He says that the bestman, Groom's brother, and his dad couldn't be there becasue he had a basketball thing to be at. (FI had a basketball banquet last night so I'm sure that's where that came from)Groom goes down the aisle, and as my mom and I look to go down the aisle, my dad, who was sitting in the front row and not back with us, comes running up to walk me down. I then realize that Groom and I didn't do our first look or any pictures before for that matter. I then start to get really upset and walk off, only then to realize that I'm not wearing a wedding dress. It was just a white dress from my closet. I tell them that we need to stop so Groom and I can talk. We start talking about what's going on and I say that none of this is what I wanted. I walk into our reception hall and its only 3 tables decorated like a high school prom. Horrible!!!! I then say we can push the wedding back a few hours because it's only like 10 in the morning so that I can run into town and see if David's Bridal will sell me a sample dress to wear. As my two grandmothers and I head off to get the dress I then realize that the wedding is in March of 2011 and not April of 2012 like we planned. I woke up sweating and heart racing!
Please tell me that you have had dreams like this and everything worked out okay.
