My dear BF, bless him, is a very honest man. Sometimes, too honest. I know he’s excited & looking forward to showing me the ering he chose to propose with. I’ve seen it on a website and it’s unique and beautiful, but I don’t know any details re the stone, and he’s going to add some custom detail to it. Unfortunately, he won’t stop with the updates on his progress. Two weeks ago it was “one more payment”, and last week it was “I’ll have a surprise for you very soon.”
Yikes-I appreciate him keeping me posted, but I told him I really don’t wanna know! I prefer to be surprised. Any other bees gettin’ too much information from their SO?

My FH told me to pick out a ring in case he ever wanted to propose just a few months after we started seeing each other. I picked one out and he waited so long it wasn’t available so he had me pick out another. He bought that one and kept it for months before he proposed. I was totally surprised about the when/how.( I started to think he had changed his mind.) Downside I wore the ring a week before it broke and store wouldn’t fix/replace because we had it too long.
Your SO can still totally surprise you. Don’t worry men can be devious.

nope sorry mine wont even let me know what ring or where he is getting it from… I am completely in the dark and I hate it.. but the Bee’s on here have mentioned that when it does happen it will be a huge surprise.. I think your SO is one of those guys that cant hide his excitement and needs to share… Hopefully he respects your wishes and doesnt tell you when it is going to happen and still surprises you…

My FI did this to me before he proposed. I knew every step. I think guys just get too excited and don’t have many people to tell, so they tell us about it. lol! I didn’t mind. The engagement was still an awesome surprise!

@secondchances: I hope you’re right. He might have more up his sleeve than what he’s tellin’ me-whee!

@Anxiouspeanut, organizedbride11, FutureBaker: Yes, he is excited about it (yay!), and I’m so glad & grateful he is. All not-to-subtle hints to this weekend, but I’m trying not to expect it in case things change. Thanks for your well wishes-watch this space for updates!

I had the same situation. I basically knew everything, even the day he was going to propose. I just looked at it like I’m his bestfriend who he just couldn’t keep a secret from. But part of me wished it was a complete surprise, although the moment itself was so it all worked out in the end. I’m sure you’ll be just as surprise too.
Oh I had no idea what the ring looked like so I was SOOO excited to see it.

Tell him you’re glad he’s excited, but that you want a suprise proposal and he’s starting to ruin that.
I like that he’s talking to you and is so excited!
