I have the opposite problem compared to some brides to be that I know.  I'm trying to gain at least 10 lbs.  For someone of my height, I need to be at least 15lbs heavier.  When I ordered my dress a few weeks ago, I told them that I'm going to be 10lbs heavier and to take that into account when ordering the correct size.

For you Bees who's trying to lose weight, I really sympathize with you because it's VERY hard for me to gain weight in same way as it's HARD for anyone to lose weight.  I've been trying for the past years and haven't been successful at maintaining it.  I hope to gain the weight so I won't look too bony or skinny on my wedding day.  My FI is helping by cooking me more food but it's tough since I'm starting to exercise too in order to tone my arms for the wedding dress...

How do you Bees keep motivated to look good in your dress?

Staying motivated is hard when it involves changing your habits - whether that means eating less, eating more, eating healthier, exercising, or whatever. Involving other people in the process has really helped me - having your fiance or close friend keep you accountable makes a big difference.

Have you tried supplementing your meals with drinks like boost or ensure? I was really sick a few years ago and tried that to keep my weight on...I personally think ensure is pretty gross, but boost has some really tasty shakes that taste just like chocolate milk. I even went for slimfast as well...it seems counter intuitive, but if you use it to supplement a meal instead of replacing a meal, its an easy way to take in more calories.

I'm actually toning up my arms too for the wedding!  Is that the only exercise you do?  If you're trying to gain some weight, I'd cut out massive amounts of cardio.  I've got a tiny build as well, and doing too much cardio makes me loose weight I shouldnt' be.

    Good luck!

I've been drinking Ensure the past few wks but I think I've been using it as a meal replacement instead of a supplement because...(please don't roll your eyes)... I'm very lazy of eating.  It's weird but it's true.  I get focused at work or doing other things that I forget to eat until I feel the absolute need to.

It doesn't help now that I using gym weights to tone my arms and doing one of those exercise machines to try to tone my tush.  I sweat so much afterwards.

I feel like I'll have a much better chance at gaining weight if I don't exercise.  But I do want to look tone at the same time.  FI is really trying to help me but I do find him very annoying when he's constantly reminding me to eat or excercise 5-10 times everyday.

Well you're definitely not going to gain weight by skipping meals :) Keep really easy to eat snacks around (baby carrots, grapes, a granola bar) that way you can munch all day.  If you're skipping meals, you're burning WAY more calories during your workout then you're taking in.
