This is a great question. I’m looking forward to suggestions too. 🙂

Is the bar going to be self serve or staffed? If staffed, maybe you could just keep them behind the bar, under a table or such. Can you rent a tap? That makes it look a lot less frat party and serves the distribution purpose too.

Maybe you could take a cardboard box/carton and cover it with wedding wrapping paper and cut a hole on top where the tap comes out?

In some larger cities, you can rent taps and keg refrigerators like those in bars.

hmm…. this is hard… Remember that if you have the tap that requires to be pumped you need to leave them out so that the handel is useable.  At the bar, out on the patio, when we cant fit a keg in the cooler, we use those huge kiddy bucket/toyboxes so that they are on ice.  You can see if you can rent a beer cooler with taps on it so all the ppl see is a cute cooler.  It is really hard to hide a keg, especially if it needs manually pumped rather than it running off CO2.

If you don’t use some type of plastic container to hold ice in, your beer will get warm real fast. Most containers aren’t very pretty, but something is better than nothing if the beer will be warm!

What about tying in your flowers? You could probably make the frat party garbage can of ice look really pretty if you glued floral foam to the plastic can and then covered it with silk flowers matching your colors, maybe with some pretty ribbon. You could even cut a hole for the tap in the garbage can lid and cover that with flowers too, so only the tap would be sticking out of the top.

You could buld a cheap MDF box and paint it in your wedding colors, that shouldn’t be too expensive. I am having two bars and my kegs will be hidden behind my bars.

We are also having two kegs at our reception. We chose to rent keg coolers from a local rental company, they only cost us $15 a  piece. The best thing is they will fit underneath a table with a tablecloth and skirt on it. Completely hiding the kegs was what I wanted the most. Good luck!

How about wrapping up the entire keg/container in one of these pretty garbage bags from Oriental Trading? Then you can tie it off at the top (leaving the tap exposed) with pretty ribbon!

do you have anyone hand in your life? if so ask them to put together some peices of ply wood to form a box without the bottom and just cut circles in the top to feed the pumps through. Then have them stain the wood a nice dark color to resemble a bar.

We are having our wedding on the beach and will have a keg out on the deck. We are going for a beachy/luau feel. After me and my moh spent hours searching the internet for ideas to cover up the keg, my brains light bulb turned on.Laughing We are going to buy one of those nautical nets to wrap around a light blue garbage can and decorate it with sea shells and lei flowers. Looks super cute in my head…hopefully the end result will be the same.

This is a rough idea of how we are covering our keg. It will be in a corner of a deck on the beach.
