I’m pretty sure that KP will do modest custom mods, like a less severe sweatheart.  The model is wearing the whole bodice low on her boobs.  If your torso was shorter, the whole thing would probably hit you harder.

The left one in the bottom pick looks like Jenny Packham.  Is it an atypical KP too?

I love KP, and this dress is one of my faves! I feel like the dress is a bit ill-fitting on that runway model. I don’t think it would be that low on a “real bride” when the correct size was ordered and all The alterations were done.

@Carrie480:

Question- were you able to find a bridal shop that carries this dress? I remember reading somewhere that KP only made one of these dresses(the one the model is wearing) and that the dress is not available to purchase…?? I hope not, that would make me sad ๐Ÿ™

@Carrie480:  Bee babybubba75 owns this dress…. according to her post, this gown was never produced, and she bought the only one ever made from Amsale flagship store… Maybe try to PM her?

I tried on many a Kenneth Pool (styles like “Flirtation” – horrible name, lovely dress) while dress shopping and as someone with a bit of a chest (32E), I did find that a lot of the necklines on the Kenneth Pools were on the low-ish side! Sort of indecently so. But I am also 5’9″ so it could be a different story if you are a bit shorter, depending on where the waist of the dress hits you.

@Melini: You are right, the SA did say that the dresses could be special-ordered with a higher neckline!

Hi ladies,

You’re right – I am the only ower of this ’embrace’ dress. I purchased it at the Amsale salon last year and wore it for my wedding on June 18th. It was never produced, but I had to have the gown so I went to the salon to try the runway sample.

THe moment I put it on, I knew it was perfect. I’ve altered it to fit and I am a size 4.

I am selling it now – I feel too guilty to let it hang in the closet forever and I hope another bride can wear the beautiful gown.

Here are some pictures if you’re interested ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi, I tried on this dress at the Amsale store on Madison Ave. I didn’t think the neckline was low. However for me the mermaid was uncomfortable I felt that I couldn’t move around as freely as I would like.

It did look beautiful on; if you are looking for a mermaid dress you will not be disappointed.
