I totally need to get on booking all the vendors too! The Gardens at Ray Eden look beautiful!!

Our venue is at Gingerwoods in prospect, and our photographer is Scotty Perry. Those are the only two things I have booked so far. Alot of the wedding is going to be DIY to save money and just because I love crafting. I am also clueless about the DJ – there are so many options and alot of them just seem cheesy to me, tbh! We are also looking at Ladyfingers, as well as Masterson’s and Kingsley for our caterer.

I had been planning on doing my own flowers, but I have actually been looking for a reasonably priced DOC! I will def. check her out!

Oh wow I what a coincidence I have totally have been pining over that arbor picture ever since I saw it a couple months ago! I *love* that wedding, she did a fantastic job!

Sorry, I don’t know about an old fashioned truck like that around here. But I think Bruster’s (Lyndon Lane) has a push cart that you can rent.

I am just now looking at wedding photographers… why do I feel like I’m behind?

We’ve booked the venue (The Grand in New Albany), for our wedding and reception.  We are using Sound Syndicate for dj’ing –  the FI works with them from time to time – awesome dj’s =)  We refuse to use cheesy old fashion, chicken dance doin dj’s and these guys have promised me that they won’t even attempt it 😉 If you all are interested – message me and I’ll get a phone number for ya.

I bought my dress at DB in Clarksville, I’ll be going this week to exchange my dress, but they seem to have no problems.

I will be using a coworker for alterations.

@Shiner: Thank you! Im going to check him out – sounds like exactly what we are wanting.  I have a phobia of having a bad photog, who’s not sensitive to my “needs” … sounds odd I know.  I am the person who takes their own pic with their phone 50 times before finding the right angle to post on my FB wall.  We had pictures taken last fall for the FI’s 40th birthday, and the photographer DID NOT have any idea of my phobia .. my fault probably, but lesson learned nonetheless.

Side note:  just got home from DB in Clarksville a little bit ago – I paid my other dress off only to put another one (twice as much) and undergarments on lay away… I’m so excited now!!! =)

@Shiner: LOL  It’s amazing – no matter how much other people like our pics – we’re never satisfied and can always find the flaws!!  The FI knows12..  how picky I am and will take a ton of pics if I’m playing with the camera and will only let me see the ones HE think I will like =)  I would definitely love to get the names of the others.. I appreciate it!  Are you excited about your dress? I see you’re getting married on 6/9/12 – one of my closest friends is getting married on that day as well in Louisville.   She’s got the old medical building =)

So far we have booked . . .

Venue – Henry Clay

Caterer – Silver Spoon (no choice there)

Photog – RedTree

Hotels – the Hyatt and Seelbach (okay that’s probably not really a vendor but I felt like I needed to bulk up my list)

And is that really all?  I’m feeling behind.  I think DJ needs to be next.

@Natalieh86: I feel the same way.  I have a chunk of stuff done, and purchased, but feel like I’m having buyer’s remorse and am feeling the urge to purge the goods, only to purchase something different now.  I need to leave it all well enough alone though!!

@Shiner: I’m going to have to check your guy out.. We have the same problem as far as pricing and packages go.  I almost feel like contacting U of L’s photography department … I have heard of people doing that in the past.  I’m sooo glad you found the dress you love!!  I waivered several times, and picked out 4 or 5 “it’s the one” dresses, and I’m finally done shopping.  I dont think I’m ever going to feel that overwhelming, burst of tears feeling, but I LOVE the dress I put on the other day…. I can’t wait to wear it all day, night and more if need be!! =)

@2012FutureMrsC: No suggestions but I think we are going to try Sweet Surrender for cake, we did a tasting at Desserts by Helen too.  We sooo need to get cracking on music.  I put FI in charge of that.
