I used to do cardio kick boxing; I was in more pain than I have ever been in. At the time I was living in a dorm that only had stairs (we had half floors) and after class and for a few days after I could barely climb them (or get into my high bed)!!

BUT it was a fabulous workout and I think it would have gotten my butt in shape if I had actually stuck with it.

BTW, I don’t have an athletic bone in my body (I’m 5’0, 100 pounds too!), and zero coordination but i managed to make it through every class without completely embarrassing myself.

I used to do cardio and boot camp kickboxing back in college – I was in amazing shape and after a few classes it was fun AND easy to pick up!  Granted, sometimes I felt stupid doing it, but if you stand in the back of the class no one can see you  :o)

I did it in college.  It was a great workout- but tough- sometimes I thought I would throw up by the end of it!  I think for your first class you shoudl just try to follow along as best you can to learn the basic moves.  Have fun!

I haven’t done it, but one of my girlfriends used to for years and she always says those were the days she was in the best shape of her life.

oo did you end up going?? kickboxing is my workout of choice! i was a runner in hs and i just have a mental block on it.. but kickboxing is AMAZING. We have CKO gyms in my area and we work out on actual bags. I have been doing it on and off for almost 2 years now (FI joined and we have been doing really well since Dec. but TERRIBLE this month). The first time I ever went I literally only made it through 15 minutes.. it took a while to work myself up to a whole hour. But if you just keep moving and take it slow in the beginning, you will get there. It is def a confidence booster. I also love that I can slack for a week and it still only takes 2 sessions to see results.  If i could get myself there 4 times a week id be a beast.. i just cant find that time/motivation. such a stress reliever though.

I love kickboxing! I have never taken a class but have a couple workout videos that include kickboxing. If you feel like you aren’t ready for a class a kickboxing workout video would be good so you can get the basic moves down before the class.
