I'm 10/23/10! We've got a venue/color scheme/bridal party and I just bought my dress last week!
I'm 10.23.10 too!!! We've got our venue and half the bridal party!! the color scheme we are think is black/gold/and hints of burgandy/wine color.
So much to get started on and too many ideas to decide between!
Im a 10.23.2010 too!!! I have the Color Scheme, Venue, Photographer, wedding party, DRESS ( as of last week!!)
Yay for 10-23-10! (it just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?)
We've done just about everything: bridal party, venue, color scheme (royal blue and lime green inspired by peacocks), photographer, band and ceremony quartet, day-of planner, hotel block, and have in proposals for catering. I've called my prefered florist twice and she won't meet with me yet because we're so far out...we've been engaged since May and I was chomping at the bit to go! I also found my dress about a month ago but haven't yet purchased it.
Happy -1 year anniversary ladies! One year from now we will be married! Are you and your fiances doing anything to celebrate?
SO excited for 1 year from today - I wish it was tomorrow! Our anniversary is the 21st, so we celebrated our last 10/21 pn Wednesday - now we'll switch to 10/23!
So... Have any of you done your STD yet? When are you sending them out?
Congrats Everyone!! Iam also a 10-23-10 .. Just wanted to remind us all that we have 362 days left to go as of today!!
We have our church,reception hall and dj taken care of. The colors for our wedding are going to be burnt oranges, dark yellows, and reds. We decided that we arent going to hire a photographer (cant really afford one) we have a friends sister who takes pics on the side! Plus we are going to leave disposable cameras on the tables at the reception for people to take pics and then we will collect them at the end of the night!
I made my STD magnets on visaprint.com .. they turned out pretty good simple and cute!! But I havent sent them out, I have heard it is best to wait at least 7months before the wedding?? Is this true??
Other then that, nothing else new to report, I would like to get out and check out some dresses and see what I like and dont like.. Maybe this week yet..

I really have no intention of sending out STDs before February or March. Our close friends and family already know our date, and it might be nice to keep the numbers down (we are inviting 415 and hoping that no more than 350-375 can make it). I'm going to make some STDs on my Gocco because I think it'll be fun! Hopefully I'll start designing them this weekend ;)
Another October 23, 2010 bride here!
We've secured a church and reception venue, as well as our photographer (and I am SO excited about having gotten the photgrapher of my dreams!). We've also decided on a colour scheme (chocolate brown, apple green and champagne, with touches of pink in the flowers). Our wedding party has been notified. The save the dates are being printed as I type. We've also pretty much settled on the guest list (so far = 190).
Otherwise I have a lot of DIY plans in my head, but I feel like I need to start documenting all my ideas on poaper before I get too overwhelmed or forget.

We have our venue, photographer, wedding party, color scheme, ideas for Bridesmaid dresses, and my dress.
I have calls out to a few florist & bands.
My mom is working on the Save the dates, I will most likely send them out in Jan when our guest list is finalized.

FI and I live in Florida, as do 99.9% of the guests coming to the wedding. So it's "destination" for pretty much all parties involved. :) The guest list is small, we are inviting around 80 people and the reception is going to be in a tent at my parents'. I am learning there are a lot of logistical considerations with the tent!

I'm still working on finding musicians for the ceremony, going through the ceremony book our officiant gave us with different options, and getting the tuxes and gifts sorted for the guys. We are doing cupcakes from a local shop so I don't need to do that until a couple months before the wedding.
Our main colour is a deep red, the invitations are charcoal gray/white/red and the centrepieces are focused on red, white and a fleck of gold underneath them to set them off. The girls are wearing charcoal gray (I couldn't find red dresses I loved) and the boys will be wearing black tails with red vests.

We're having a "Fall Glam" wedding so lots of Manzanita branches, crystals, white flowers and our colours are Eggplant, Silver, Black and White.
RunMegRun: Hah! I live just above the GA border in TN, and We're having our ceremony in the mountains, too! (Dandridge, just outside Pigeon Forge!) And then we're going to Florida for the honeymoon!
T minus 8 mo (minus 3 days)....

We have the venue and catering reserved.
My colors are Tiffany Blue, White and Black.
I have chosen my bridal party. I'm beginning to narrow my dress choice.
I found some places to try on dresses in my size (12-14)
I have chosen my brides maid gowns and the groomsmen vests.
I found a seamstress to make the bridal party attire.
I have chosen a save the date card design.
I meet with my second photographer this weekend.
I still have lots to do and to decide on, but I think I have the ground work done. I just need to choose and pay now.
