Kicking myself for spending too much money on vacation.

I haven’t overspent while on vacation, BUT I just realized that I will have no cash to contribute towards our trip that we’re leaving on tomorrow.  I paid off my credit card so that I could use it when we’re in the US, but then I realized I am just squeeking by on automatic bill payments that come out today and tomorrow.  My husband asked me if I was going to get any extra American cash and I had to tell him I had just enough to pay off my bills this month, so I can’t…oops!  Bad planning on my part.

I’ve never done that, but I also would never spend a lot on a purse (I am rough on stuff like that so I go cheap.  I also don’t care about labels).

I would be lost without my car (I HAVE to drive for work, it’s in my contract) so I would be out of a job.  This would totally freak me out!

I did the same thing….with a lime green Michael Kors bag I bought on vacation in Veags…..

Luckily they were on sale so the damage wasn’t “too” bad. I definitely had regret after. I love your new brown one!

@BakerBee16: YUP! We went on a mini-moon in June and were so excited to be married, we went kind of nuts. We bought each other $200 custom Nike shoes. We didn’t care, because we were celebrating being married! When we got home, we were pretty pissed off at ourselves. While we were gone, we were getting some renos done on the house, and in addition to getting those renos done, we found out we needed to replace our roof. Womp womp.

I once went to the Carribean, came home, and my tenant had LEFT!

Just… gone! So I was suddenly short $500/month until I found a new renter two months later!

@BakerBee16: Hahaha, I’m a poor 40-hour-a-week worker with a mortgage and a car. I hope you’re studying something that yields a job with a high income! I kid, I kid…

My husband and I should have budgeted the trip better. Usually I’m really good at only buying stuff I can afford, but we were so excited that logic kind of went out the window. Don’t beat yourself up too much about it. Learn from it and move on. In the meantime, if you feel SUPER bad about it, eBay one of the bags.

Can you return the bags?  That’s an outrageous amount to spent on purses.
