@ORella2012: i have this problem, the only thing to do imo is to group the ages e.g. 1-3 4-8 and 8+ and buy them that way. you need to be carefull with the really little ones, i'm just getting the youngest ones a little teddy and a milkybar,
for the other i'm doing this a i spy card where the kids mark off all the things they can find this can be done with either cameras or just find and then get the adult to sign it off. i'm adding colouring pages instead of a colouring book aimed at the specific child e.g my 4 year old niece loves dora and peppa pig so i will print off some free colouring picks and make a colouring book that way.
sweeets/candy always goes down well.
glow sticks are good
playing cards
i honestly think it's hard to bulk buy for all the ages. i'm trying myself but in vain so i'm just going to make them up for each child. fortunately with my wedding being a Christmas wedding in 2012 i can make the most of the cheap sale items after this christmas.
all that said my gift bags are more aimed to be taken home afterwards and wont be giving them out until an hour or so into the reception, as every wedding i've been to the kids are on the dance floor. or candy buffet (these can be done rather cheaply, mine is totalling up at £40 i think thats roughly $60) i find it's the end of the night when they are getting tired the need to be amused more.
My only thought is you put kazoos ..... do you really want noise makers at your wedding?
I think candy is always a safe bet. The day after halloween or another holiday like easter would be the perfect time to pick the little bages candies up. just a tought.
I would stay away from anything noisy, why don't you look in the dollar store for small cars, puzzles, things like that? I think that's what I'll be doing.

We have a lot of kids coming to the wedding and I want to do activity bags for them. I need to do them on the cheap, so I need to buy stuff in bulk, but my problem is that I have kids everywhere from 1 yr old to 13yrs old coming. Have any suggestions for what I can put in all the bags that the little kids won't choke on and the big kids won't think is lame??
