Yes, I agree…we need to see more pictures. Also, did you have inspiration pics? If so post that.

Can’t tell much from the photo… it doesn’t look bad to me.

You need to articulate to your hairdresser what you don’t like about it and work with her until you get something you love.

My hair appointment on my wedding day was almost a disaster… I brought in a photo and the style did NOT look good on me. The girl saw that I did not like it and did a new updo (same price)… she did not want me to leave unhappy.

@EffieTrinket:  I don’t think it makes your face look fat… but it does look a little Snooki to me.  Maybe a little less high in the back?  I know nothing about hair but if you’re not happy, I’m sure some adjustments can be made.

@EffieTrinket:  It looks like your inspiration pics have more volume- should be an easy fix! It’s your big day and you should get what you want, so definitely tell your hair dresser your concerns.

@EffieTrinket:  lmao. I see what you mean. It looks like what you want is more volume … maybe go into hair trial #2 and show the picture of what you want with more volume.

@EffieTrinket:  way more volume on top and especially the sides! Perhaps go back and ask for another go, or get an entirely new hair dresser. And don’t be afraid to tell them while they’re styling if you have any concerns!

My first reaction was “Wow, she’s pretty!” Anyway, based on the pictures you showed, they definitely missed the mark! I had to lol at your last comment and picture 😉

@EffieTrinket:  Girl, you crack me up.  Archer-inspired indeed!

Are you set on using that particular hairdresser?  What about scoping out younger, hipper stylists?  I found mine at Supercuts, believe it or not.  She was a tiny little chick with fantastic mermaid-y waves and I just had to say, “I want that.”

Your inspiration pics are awesome!

I don’t think your face looks fat at all btw. But the updo she gave you is not really like your pics. It’s definitely more “Pam”! Laughing

I would go back and tell them your not happy and see if they can do a better job. If not, try another hairdresser. They really really vary in ability and experience when it comes to putting hair up. Does the person regularly do bridal hair?

It does not make your face look fat lady! But I do agree, it’s a bit more ‘severe’ or pulled tighter on the sides than your inspiration images were. The tendril curl is too much like prom for sure though. If it had a bit less volume on top or more on the sides, it would be a bit more balanced and softer looking.  Do you have any pics of what she did at the back or even a side shot? Maybe we can help with more suggestions.
