My fiance insists that we get a King sized bed once I move in. I think that's excessive, and would like to not be half a bed away when we sleep, but he says it'll be more comfortable, and we can still cuddle. *sigh*

Which do y'all share, or will you share when you live together?

Ack, we have a full and I hate it. But we're both only about 5'5" so a Queen would be more than enough. We sleep in a King at my father's and get lost in it...lol

I got a queen sized bed for when FI moves in after the wedding since I had a twin before. I had access to a full for free, but I am tall and decided that I didn't want to share a bed that small. Thus far just sleeping in the queen alone, I mange to stay on "my side" perfectly fine, so we shall see how sharing it goes.

What I have or what I want?  :)  We have a full, but I think a queen would be better.  King is too big, but it doesn't really matter because I'm going to push him to the edge of the bed anyway.  ;)  I must have superwoman powers at night because I usually end up with most of the bed while he's teetering on the edge.

We have a double.  We are both fairly thin (wish I was thinner) and we think that it fits for us just right.  King is just TO big and we had a queen and just prefer the double, though it is too small for most peoples comfort.  Sometimes I wish we still had the queen, especially when I go to bed after him and he is taking most of the bed and all of the covers.

We just bought ourselves a brand new bed and new mattress (our first furniture together :D) and we got a Queen.  Theres lots of room, but we're not miles from each other when we sleep.

We have a full... Its like tetris getting into bed at night.  We hope to get a queen soon.  I think if a king can fit in your house you should go for it.

@sweetpea87: We have a queen bed but I really wish it was a king. I think it might depend on how you sleep and how big of people you are. My FI and I are both pretty large people, plus, he's taller than the bed so he has to sleep kinda diagonally to fit, so it can be uncomfortable and cramped some nights. Oh, how I long for a big ol' king bed.

You also wouldn't have to sleep on the outside edges of the bed you can still sleep next to each other.  But when you come in after him to sleep and he has rolled over into the middle there will still be room for you at the other side.

Have a queen. Someday would like a king, or at least one of those beds that are two twins pushed together with a pad thing on top.

We have a queen right at this moment. I'm 5'10" and am voluptuous. My husband is 6' 5" and 360lbs.  We have had no issues sleeping in this bed together. However, as my pregnant belly gets bigger and now a body pillow has entered the bed in order to stop my hips from burning, we are waiting on the arrival of our king. I can't wait for it to show up.

I have a queen and feel it is to small when my four year old crawls in bed with me in the middle of the night. She likes to sleep sideways across the bed lol. I have been wondering if it will seem as small when I share it with my great big man. He makes my apartment feel very small so maybe we should look at buying a King.

When we first started dating I had a double. Way too small for us. We're pretty average sized (he's on the skinny side) but he's 6'2". We have a queen now and it's ok but I love spreading out on it once he leaves for work. Once we move & have a big enough bedroom we'll get a king.

We got a king bed and I love it.  It's roomy enough for both of us to curl up into a little ball and not bump into each other.  Love the extra space.  We had a queen and fit fine on that too, but when we got a new bed, we figured better too much space than not enough.  We tried to sleep in a full for a few days when we lost power and slept downstairs and it was awful.

We both have queen beds.  (Not married and don't live together).  All I know, is this last summer he had an internship on the East coast, and the week I went to visit him we both had to sleep together in a twin (and we aren't skinny either), one of us had to be on our side at all time.  So I used to think our queen beds were small, but after a week of sharing a twin, I'm more than happy with our queens!

    A full!

We are both fairly tall people. I like being close! We stayed in a queen and a king while traveling and we still ended up huddling like two fetuses in the bed lol.

I'd be okay with a queen someday, If the opportunity presents itself just to get more of a master bedroom feel to things.

I have a queen right now but when we get married and finally live together we will be getting a king. We are both big and love to cuddle but when it comes to sleeping we like to be able to stretch out a bit.

I voted king but the real answer is cal. king. SO is 6'7'' and he has to sleep diagonally in his cal king to fit. We hope to eventually upgrade to a custom bed.

To explain, I have a queen at my mom's house.  When I started staying with FI, all he had was a small, twin bed... and that is what we sleep on.  It's pathetic.  When we move into our house, I will be bringing my bed, of course, but it won't fit in his room right now.

We have a king, which my husband had before I met him. I cannot describe how much of a PITA it is to move the mattress up a narrow flight of stairs. It's way worse than moving, say, a large couch or grand piano. We can roll to different sides of the bed and feel like we're in different rooms. Honestly, a queen would probably be more than enough room for the two of us!

My boyfriend and I have shared everything from a twin (yikes!) to a king, and he probably would prefer a king so that I won't sneak up next to him while we sleep, but I want a queen so he can't get too far away!

Technically a queen is big enough for us, but sometimes, my cat takes 1/3 of the bed by laying perpendicular to the bed instead of parallel to it. So, we upgraded to a King.

We're using my queen until we buy a new bedroom set, then we'll get a king. The queen is fine, but I like to hog the bed. And the whole novelty thing about having a king outweighs the queen.

We have a queen and its enought room for me!  He wanted a king (I usually take all the space/blankets) but I think the queen leaves more space in the room, and we cuddle a lot!

We have a queen size bed. That's the largest that will fit in our bedroom.  DH is 6'2", so a full size is a little short for him. But we did share a full size when he would stay at my apartment when we first started dating. We had a king size bed at the B&B we stayed at when we got married...

As far as preference... Well, my old full size bed took up a lot less space, but DH had to sleep diagonally...not a big deal for me, because I'm only 5'0", and I liked cuddling with him. The king size was nice, because DH could really stretch out, and I think he slept better. I felt a little lost in it though. The queen size works well for us, because his feet don't hang of the end of the bed, and there is still plenty of room for us.

I guess if our room was larger, I think the king would be best for us--only because I know DH was most comfortable in it. Plus, there would be plenty of room for the furbabies to sleep horizontally on the bed, which seems to be their preference!

We have a Queen, but I HATE IT. I want a King (or a California King) ASAP!!!!!! We are both tall (5'9 and 6'3) and tend to sprawl out when we sleep. Plus we have two dogs. I need my King Size bed.

ETA: We have slept in anything ranging from a Twin (yes, in college) to a Queen. We've slept in a King size on occasion (like, vacation) and love it. One day.. Lol.

Haha, well, neither one of us is very tall or diagonal sleepers, but we both sleep on our stomachs. I still think the queen is fine, but nope, we're getting a king. He actually asked if I thought we should get a queen, but I told him he's been excited about that king for years, and it'd suck to buy the queen and him still not be satisfied.

I hadn't thought about the lack of bedroom space. We won't have any. Tiny apartment, tiny bedroom, giant bed. We're hoping to move into a bigger one in a few months, though.

We have a full and we both think it's enough space.  We slept in a king once and it was a crazy amount of space!  I'm 5'2.5" and he's 5'8".

Granted, we slept in a twin before that so maybe that's why I think a full is more than enough.

We have a full, but hopefully in the next year or so we'll upgrade to a queen. No matter what size we've slept in together, we end up close together, so I don't want something way too big for the space. We mostly need more room for our two dogs- at 21 and 7 pounds each, they take up the most room! :)

We had a full for a while, which was laughable since DH is 6'3", I'm 5'10" and both of us slept with our feet hanging off the end! We decided to go king, but while we were at it, decided why not a California king? We got it and LOVE it. Especially right now, since I'm pregnant and there's room for my Snoogle body pillow and both cats in the bed with us :)

We have a full bed and we're looking at getting a king bed after the wedding. At the moment we feel really cramped in bed because we're not cuddly sleepers, so we need the extra foot and a half a king (well, a UK super-king) would give us.
